Anyone knows of a good alternative system to Windows? Is Linux too complicated for a technologically retarded person? I'm tired of Windows.

From tomorrow, all Grocery Stores in my state will no longer put your groceries in plastic bags. You will now have to purchase their cloth/canvas bags for them to load your groceries into, or bring along your own cloth/canvas bags from home, from now on.
I'm all for saving the planet, but there is so much plastic produced and disposed of all over the world, that this is not going to make any damn difference.
They just want you to have to purchase their bags - which will increase their profit$.
It is sick that they are pretending to care about the planet, as an excuse to make more money.

Well said blue. Im glad someone else can see through the "caring" BS that people put forward which, in the end wont make one bit of difference.

Well I guess I am broken.

Today a chick who I am sure has been flirting with me at work came on to me in no uncertain terms. She's quite hot to be honest, she looks at me with that.... 'look' in her eyes. When she looks at me its like she's smitten with me. She ALWAYS comes to where I happen to be working as she finishes work to make conversation before she leaves. Shes always makes eye contact and gives me a sexy smile.
Today I almost bumped into her as I turned a corner and it happened twice. The second time I said 'Sorry ', she said 'thats ok'. I said ' I'll get you one day' (meaning I'll bump into her) and she looked over her shoulder at me, smiled and said 'I hope so'.
A few minutes later she walked up to me and said 'I need food for my p u s s y cat' and I said 'you have a cat? Cool' as she showed me a picture of it on her phone.

She said (X rated talk coming up..) 'yea, I'm going home to pat my p u s s y, I'd like you to come home and feed mine' as she looked directly into my eyes..

Do you know what I said??
Nothing cool. Nothing awesome. I just sounded stupid and lame as I said 'I'm really flattered, but you deserve someone better than me'.

When she left I felt like dying.

I don't get it. I crave company with a sexy woman. I get offered it and I sound like a complete a s s w i p e.

I don't know how this story will turn out but answering 'I'm really flattered, but you deserve someone better than me' does not sound lame or stupid to me at all. It does sound like you may not be interested, but it's not unrecoverable.

On another note I would be careful with that person though, especially since you're working with her. She doesn't sound very subtle. Is she flirting like this with other people at work? Depends what you're looking for, but remember you'll have to keep seeing her everyday no matter how it turns out.

This is so true! It sucks how someone could make you feel special by flirting with you, but it turns out they do it to everyone/only want to hookup. Especially coming on in that particular way.
Also the working together bit - I made that mistake once and it was torture. I had to watch him flirt with other girls right in front of me, it sucked.

While I can't argue that your local stores aren't trying to earn an extra buck, removing plastic bags does make a difference. For grocery stores that's what, 8 bags/customer on average sometimes more - those are bags that won't end up in landfills or, more importantly, the ocean. If the ocean dies we die. That's less plastic that needs to be recycled, too - and for some reason it seems harder than ever to recycle plastic (at least in the States). There's a lot they won't accept now because China stopped buying it from us. All trash goes somewhere and unfortunately, it's mostly the ocean.

Yikes, I'm sorry, Pug. I hate those FML moments when you leave a conversation with someone wishing for an asteroid to crash you because you're so embarrassed.

I agree a lot with what Pacific_Loner said, unless you want a hookup sort of relationship, you should be leary of those types of women - you don't know who else she talks to like that.

Why do you think she deserves better, though? Because she's attractive? That's such a frustrating mindset - I have it too. Since someone is better looking, it automatically makes them "better" for some reason, but looks don't account for personality. In fact, most good-looking people are douche bags. Anyway, I hope work isn't awkward now and if you want to go out with her, it all works out for you guys.

Thanks for the advice guys, I don't know how I feel about this. She seems to be a nice person and I haven't seen her flirting with others like she does with me (at least I haven't noticed anyway).
Yea getting it on with someone from work doesn't feel right. I don't have big social circles (lol hardly any to be honest) so it's difficult to meet women away from work.

I think we all crave physical affection (being close, not just sex) at times. So yea, But I think I'm going to keep my distance on this one.. *dies inside* *bangs head on table* etc etc..

While many guys might appreciate that kind of talk, if a girl has to use language that a street hooker would use to attract customers, then that screams a "Trespass at your own risk" sign, to me.

As others have said, workplace related attachments can end up making work even more stressful than it already is.
I think you have dodged a bullet there, PugofCrydee. :thumbup:

I think i would LOVE a woman to talk to me & flirt with me like that!!!. But it never happens - it's all subtle signals, which ends up going nowhere, as i'm too much of a coward to approach them. I think my lack of confidence in myself is the main culprit. So even if a woman did come onto me like that, my low self-confidence would "shoot her down". :sad:
