New Year's Resolutions

1.I want to restore my neurotransmitters and hormone balance with a healthy lifestyle. Mostly, learn to eat only when hungry, and eat a blood sugar stable diet. (Did you know rats that were fed on sugar had less dopamine receptors from over stimulation? I'm a sugar/carb addict and suspect some of my low dopamine issues stem from it.)

2. Go on a walk or bikeride each day/evening, no matter how short.

I'm focusing on those ^ 2 until they become easy and then moving onto the bigger ones once I feel more stable.

Have bigger goals for this year, like
1. Graduate highschool (via online schooling)
2. Get a job.

A healthy lifestyle is first though. It's always where ya must start when you fall off the earth for a bit: first learn take care of yourself, regularly.

I never make resolutions, as I aim for self-discipline each and every day...

However, since I spent the majority of last year overcoming an eating disorder, which I am seemingly over (yay?), I can finally start attempting to lose weight again. ^__^ (especially since overcoming the eating disorder has resulted in me gaining some weight *sigh*)

I guess New Year's resolutions are kinda silly but one can't deny that it's easier to make changes when we get a new year. You just have this different kind of power and will :)

I want to cut down my light soda drinking and then I have the classic ones like eating better and working out more and harder.

Things I wish would happen - falling in love, travel a lot, meet new people but that's stuff I can't entirely control :)

Here are my new year's resolutions:

1. Practice lucid dreaming and try to achieve it

2. Write a novel

3. Build an app w/ ASP.NET and #C

That's all I can think of right now. I will probably add to the list later.

WOW! That's a pretty awesome and eclectic list of resolutions. I like it! :applause:

There are so many things that people have posted that I also want to make my own resolution. I think I will start with a resolution about believing in myself. Believing that I can do all the things I have told myself are impossible. Believing that I am intelligent, attractive, confident, and many other positive adjectives that will help bring my self-esteem out of that bottomless pit it's trapped in.
