I hope there is good news on the horizon about your moving situation.
If I were in your current situation I would pack all of my belongings into boxes and bribe a city official to put me higher on waiting list. But knowing my luck they would just take my money and never contact me again.

No word yet. Still waiting hear back from them. Though, thankfully, I'm not like my older sister who reject a house because of the wallpaper not being to her liking. Eh, redecorate, ya divvy!

And she's put in an appealing against the 2 bedroom flat she's been offered cuz the shower is too small, and shock horror, the wallpaper is rank. My oldest sister's seen the place, and says it would be perfect for me. So... I might try and nab it. Cuz if my older sister loses the appeal, my local housing department can legally kick her out of her temporary accommodation, as this flat will the 3rd place she's been offered and turned down. Therefore, according to them, my sister can't be homeless if she's declined multiple housing offers since putting in her application.

Ah wouldnae huv the money to bribe them, unless I had a friend working for the housing department. Now that ah think about it, ah should've ticked the box and filled out the bit on my application form about fleeing domestic abuse, that would've probably got me fast tracked?

Pardon me, but that is just being silly. I would swallow my pride and rent a flat if the damn place was covered in Hello Kitty wallpaper Wallpaper doesn't take long to replace.

until I changed it of course

Exactly ! But, oh no, my older sister is far too concerned with what her friends will think. Wouldnae be first thought at being offered after being made homeless via a divorce. But then ah tend to grateful for what I've got, rather than complain about what I don't.

My sister won't get any sympathy off me if she loses her housing appeal, that for sure. That might seem unfair, but after the hell she's put our mother through - to me, she deserves what'll happen if things don't go her way.

Good to hear, that the insomnia is gone. Didn't you mention something about a change in, or to, your diet recently that was related to the insomnia?
yep, i guess that little change to the diet made it go away

This is the worst chair ever.

Next time I won't cheap-out on office furniture. This chair is called a "mid-back" design, which basically means a horizontal steel bar wedges directly up under your shoulder blades and makes life as an internet lardo Hell.

1-0, Walmart.

I feel pretty worthless right now. Like, I'm not even good enough for someone to like me.

The fact that I'm not even a mod here after ten years of membership speaks higher for this place than anything, ha ha.

Still depressed about my situation. And I'm feel well, got an ear infection and a bit of a sore throat. But I've made slight dietary change and started eatin' porridge again for my breakfast, just for change as I usually skip breakfast. So far, so good.

God bless you.. i got the cold/flu a while ago but now it's just a bit of a cold. I'm glad you're eating porridge for breakfast now, that's healthy if the ingredients r good and it's important.

I'm kinda hoping this ear issue clears up shortly - can barely hear. Hopefully this cough doesn't get worse, as that the last thing I need.

Yeah, I haven't had it for awhile. I've been buying these ready made porridge pots that you just add hot water and milk to that my oldest sister recommended. And they seem to doing the trick as far my energy levels go, I'm not feeling as tired during the day as I was.

I'm feel quite nervous, going to get my eyes tested tomorrow, as I need stronger lens in glasses. And I failed the peripheral vision test last time - which was like those old 80s/90s video games - due to it being 16 years since I actually played video games.

That's reminds me, I really need overhaul my diet, and start eating healthier. Instead of going for the easy junk food options. Though, at the moment, that's proving difficult with my mother unwilling to change. But once I get my own place... things will improve.

yeh your cells and your mind body will be happier rather than saying 'oh no!' Your mother's not willing to change her diet? you should try to convince her and tell her the scientific facts of it

Not just her diet, but in general, really. My mother says one thing and does the other most of tha time. Makes promises she has no intention of keeping.

As for the diet, I have tried to point out how all the junk food snacks and fizzy drinks are bad, but she's just dismissive. Told her about the health risks with her being overweight, and how that is contributing to her depression. I rarely venture into the kitchen cuz I know, the food that's actually healthy will be few and far. She doesn't exercise, either. Yet, she'll complains about joint pain, and over dramically proclaim, "Oh, ah cannae do that, ma knee's sore". Either her knee or hip, that's always the excuse when I point out that my pedal exerciser has different tension settings. But, no... she'd rather be a couch potato and lay about, watching TV.

And my oldest sister is always getting on at me, saying I should be motivating our mother to improve her health. And she just laughs when I say I do, but Mum doesn't listen.
