Anyone believe in guardian angels or whatever?

Although, my experiences can't compare to your selfless act of heroism, I can tell you that your not alone in feeling guided by a positive force. I've never been a religious person, being more grounded in science, but I have to admit, there are times in my life where, against all probability, I've been able to pull through some tight situations, even cheated death a couple of times. Although, I'm not religious, I do consider myself spiritual. Even science seems to suggest that there is another reality beyond this one....

Btw Thank you for your service!

I don't. No angels, spirits, ghosts, souls, deities, afterlife or similiar for me.

It's nice that this belief of yours can give you strength. :)

To answer your question: I'd consider it just to be matter of luck. Sometimes people die in fires, and might have survived if the rescuers would have arrived a minute earlier. And sometimes, the firefighters are a minute early, and can rescue someone. It's just a matter of coincidence in my eyes.

If I'd be a firefighter and come a minute late, I wouldn't consider myself to be cursed, or haunted by an evil spirit or something. And if I'd come just in time, I wouldn't consider myself to be protected or watched over either.

No. A lot of people are lonely, miserable, some die horrible deaths, get awfully traumatized. Where are their guardian angels to protect them? Or do these angels decide who to save and who to leave alone? That'd be really jerkish, if you ask me.

I do believe in ghosts, though.

For every kid that is saved, thousands suffer an awful death. Statistically, some people will end up being lucky.

^This.

I believe it was just good luck that saved those particular children.

Oh, and you sound like an amazing "smoke eater" as you put it.
Men like you help to even out the horrible injustice in this world.:brindis:

Another possibility is that intuition is what saved the day. All of us have intuition, to a certain extent. Did you have an inner voice guiding you, or maybe gut feelings on those days?

Not really. I've had a few close calls, but those usually had to do with timing rather then things happening or not. One would think that if you did have a guardian angel, you wouldn't know because he/she/it would be doing its job.

Personally I don't believe in guardian angels or fate keeping things from happening to me.

What a great story and great career. Thank you for doing what you did. Not everyone can do that line of work.

Yes, I believe there are Gaurdian Angels. I believe that as human our consciousness is interconnected but also interedependant of the body. that is why we can sometimes see people who show up out of nowhere to help. There are lots of anecdotal stories like this.

I am glad you were witness to this. It doesn't matter the reason, I am glad it happened.

I survived a brutally traumatic upbringing, but there was a moment as one episode was starting when a silver lady showed up and pulled me out of my body and placed me in a safe cloud in the corner of the room so i wouldnt have to watch what was happening to me on the floor. Even now after all these years, I can describe right down to the texture of her clothes what she wore, her hair and eye color (even though it was silver i could still tell), her height and weight, and what year she had last been alive approximately. I was completely wide awake and only could see her when my eyes closed, just like a movie was playing non stop. I get this sounds so weird, but this is exactly what happened. I wasn't hallucinating, and I am not prone to hallucination.

Again, i know this sounds preposterous. its all good- if you laugh, no worries.

Yes. Rode a bicycle through a stop sign. No helmet. Hit by a car, totaled the car with my body. My back pack must have flown over my head. When I came to my head was laying on it.

Morbid thought perhaps: We will all die when it is our time to die. Not the greatest medical sciences will keep you from death.

Ive had to many bad experiences in my life that made question if there is any supernatural being watching over me..I got my when I lost the only family member to evil people in this cruel world..So I don't believe in anything except luck, science, hardwork and determination.

I believe, yes. I believe in a spirit world where there are angels, archangels, spirit guides, ascended masters (like Jesus), devas, elves, fairies, ghosts, etcetera. As a child I used to see something like faeries or elves or devas, when I was in forests or big gardens.
