What made you happy today?

I started working today. My roommate is a carpenter and said I could work with him just helP him out and whatnot. It was good, my shoulders were able to keep up and are not sore right now so I'm saying SCORE!

I was driving today with my car and suddenly, I noticed something ahead. I first thought it was a garbage bag, but when I came closer, I noticed that an old man had fallen over with his motorcycle and was stuck.

Every single car and bypasser did nothing. Just drove pass him. I drove behind the old man, stoped my car and put the hazard flashers on. I ran to the man and asked was he alright. He was okay but stuck. I started lifting the motorcycle away and shouted at the bypassers to come help. Luckily some people finally came and we succeeded to lift the motorcycle and get the old man away from the road.

The man was okay. He called his wife to pick him up and thanked all of us who helped.

I'm happy he didn't hurt himself but it pisses me off why didn't anyone do something. Just drove pass.

^ I'm so glad you and those few other people helped him. It's sad most people don't even take the time to help others anymore because they're too self-absorbed in their own lives. Ugh, it disgusts me too.

Going somewhere slightly new on our walk and seeing a new view... Then climbing on a large tree-stump (it was nearly as tall as me) and sitting on it to admire the view... ^_^ And then, being slightly brave (for a wimp) and walking out onto a fallen tree about 5 or 6 feet above a brook... For someone who gets dizzy when they're anxious that's quite a challenge haha!

feeling peaceful and contented about life, in the face of it all, made me feel good today. Living in the moment...nothing else.

Happy Birthday, Gaucho.

******************************

Remembering when I lived in Birmingham and my husband and I went for a walk in a local nature reserve... Unbeknownst to us, there was a 'Lord of the Rings' day being held... There were Elven Archers... And we also saw Gandalf and Aragorn, not to mention various other things... Like a member of the Nazgul hiding behind a tree and shouting out "BAGGINS!" as we walked by... It was SO incredibly embarrassing... Yet oh so good! ^_^ But the best part... There was a group of rather lovely looking Elven Archers stood amongst some trees and the nicest looking one of them all smiled a rather lovely smile at me... It's sad that remembering that makes me feel happy, but it does! ^_^
