My ex boyfriend and I just broke up with each other. It was a mutual agreement. There was way more tears then laughter, but I'll still miss him as my lover. It's a double edged sword. I feel a need for something to fill the void, but other wise, I'm okay.

At least the two of you agreed that it ended. That way, there can be no doubts nagging at the back of your mind. I'm sure you'll find something to fill the void. Try taking up a hobby or taking care of an animal. Just do something that you'll enjoy, that'll take up your mind space so you can't think about it.

Oh, that's not good. Even if it was a mutual decision, both parties are sure to be feeling the pinch. Sorry it had to happen, but hopefully you'll find some more happiness elsewhere.

Well I am currently applying for internships, and it is really hard for me to continue filling out the applications because you are basically telling the people hiring how great you are and why they should hire you. And I have had a lot of trouble trying to answer those questions :/ because I can not think of anything good about myself.

I am also I guess afraid to continue because if I submit my application and do not get a message back then I would feel really rejected. And I have some serious issues with handling rejection >.>

Think about your skills. What skills do you have that will help you get your internship and your job? You seem determined to get this and I can only assume that you're not a slacker, so there are two good things about you. Maybe you should work on getting some new skills that will help you be successful. Express interest in the job. I mean, I've only sent in a few applications, but maybe you could tell them that this is your dream and how long you've worked on getting here and how long you've dreamed about this.

Don't take rejection so hard, okay? Just send them to as many as you can and, if one falls out, then know that you have several more backups. Keep sending them out and, eventually, you'll get the internship. Also, rejections aren't always because of you. Maybe they just ran out of space, maybe something unexpected came up, there are a lot of reasons for rejections, so don't be so hard on yourself, alright? You've got what it takes. Show them.

There's quite a pinch, I know I can handle it this time around because I was apart of it. It hurt and I really didn't want to do it but I had to. Thanks for the comfort, Mikey.

Sorry to hear that, Graeme. Are there any cerebral palsy support groups in your area that might be able to help you find some sort of work that is do-able within your limits?
