How are you feeling?

I didn't get the job I most recently interviewed for. I know I've only had two serious interviews, but I'm starting to feel like no one is going to hire me because I haven't worked in a year. I'm going to go and eat my feelings now. :(

Someone will hire you, I just know it! You have work experience, so you've got a better chance than some people; you've just gotta keep trying and you'll get a job. Right now, do something you enjoy to take your mind off of your negative feelings and, after that, get back in the race! Good luck!

Frustrated I am having some pathetic argument in a music forum about greenday and how I think their music was a lot better back in the 90's before they became super popular... in my opinion. I love how people who disagree with you get all righteous as if their opinion has more weight than yours... its not the disagreement that is irritating..its the attitude that grates me.

rant rant etc etc... as if it actually matters..

haha ^-- for what It's worth; in my opinion 'pre-popular' Greenday was WAY better; less commercialized, more raw sound.
I can't even listen to Greenday now... it all sounds like everything else they play on the radio.

Just my opinion.
I'm sure anyone could say the same about any number of bands that had to give in to the radio-friendly style in order to survive.
And people like it... so I guess that's great for them.

Wow. Had SUCH a blast at the art performance this evening. I'm so glad I decided to suck it up and go; it was one of those nights where you have a big smile plastered across your face as you're walking back to your car afterward.

Funny thing happened too: At the show I spotted a girl that I had gone to art school with. We were in most of the same classes for over two whole years. She walked up to us and I looked her straight in the eye and smiled, expecting her to say hi or give some indication that she recognized me. She just said, "Is someone sitting here?" and sat down with her date and proceeded to continue not acknowledging me for the rest of the evening. Ha! I never liked her much anyway, so no hurt feelings there.

On the other hand, I was sitting in the audience before the show and spotted another girl I had gone to art school with and hadn't seen in years. This is a girl I had actually liked and occasionally talked to, but unfortunately could never seem to get past that barrier with her into an actual, meaningful friendship. I fidgeted for like ten or fifteen minutes, really wanting to go say hi but, of course, being too nervous and awkward to do so. I finally just jumped up and did it, and she was awesomely nice to me, and yes I was awkward, but I am really, really glad I did it. Another win for me tonight!

I'm glad today was a better day for me.

You have no idea how good that makes me feel. I think it just brings back memories.. I was a 90's teenager and I grew up with greenday, their angsty lyrics spoke to me.. they are still good, but I think they have lost their roots...that raw energy, stick it to the man, you dont understand how I feel leave me alone attitude. Now its all eye liner and wearing ties to look trendy.

Ahem..

Thank you for letting me vent.

Those nitwits were probably born in the 90s, so their opinions obviously don't count in this instance. ::p: No offense to any youngsters out there.

I'm sorry you didn't get that job. But don't give up, I'm sure you'll get another one soon. Hope you feel better :)

Last night I felt alright. I was not keen on going to my mate's place, because I wanted to be alone and I didn't want to drink any alcohol. I drank some vodka, but I didn't get drunk, which I'm happy about. One of his friends (who I know) came around and we just chatted. Then his neighbours arrived (didn't know any of them) and one of the girls in the group started slapping me and at some point she wanted me to fight her. My mate said it was a sign she liked me, which I agreed with, but I knew I'd be too anxious to take it any further. She was a little scary, to be honest!

Now I'm back home and I'm upset again. I really need to move out and be on my own for a little while because I think the situation I'm in isn't helping.
