Why are you so quiet?

I'm quiet because i'm 25, don't know anything. My memory resets, every year so I don't really know much of everything. I Forget easily so nothing to talk about, like sports, interesting things. I'm not interesting because, there is always this silence, even when I talk to family.

Tomorrow I probably wouldn't even remember what I talked about on this post. I have to read the whole post again to get an idea of what I was talking about. I wish I was never born, I have so much debt, friends I can't keep. I don't know what else to say. Goodnight.

I hate not knowing anything! Even if i can somehow sideline my SA i can't even think of anything to talk about, just keep drawing a blank. People expect an engrossing conversation about something when i only know bits and pieces about random stuff. Depression makes social anxiety so much worse because on top of the anxiety you have no desire to know/do anything. I understand how you feel.

I'm not asked that question anymore. In Middle School, however, that question was asked FREQUENTLY. Sometimes I'd say "I don't know" or other times I'd say "I like to listen". I didn't mind people asking. Is that strange? I appreciated it because they gave me attention; even if it did make me feel uncomfortable. I've felt isolated before High School began & I didn't have any friends. Deep inside, I felt desperate to be noticed and have a sense of acknowledgment. One time though, someone asked me a question that actually caught me off guard. They asked: "If you were on a plane, and it was going to crash... would you scream? Or well actually, you'd probably just sit there peacefully with your hands clasped together."

People love to ask that question around here. For some reason minnesotans are very socially aggressive. I usually just say that i have nothing to say then they look at me funny or just don't say anything else. :p

I live in Minnesota too & I'd have to agree.

Minnesotans are pussycats compared to the folks from Chicago, don'tcha know, eh?

ARGH! I have never said don'tcha know, you betcha, or eh. It's because of crap like Fargo that everyone thinks we all sound like that. But yeah, i'm sure it can get brutal in big cities like Chicago or NYC.

I have to openly admit that I say all of those words/phrases.
And yeah, I love my wild rice soup & hot dish. *not lying*

Anyway, now I'm just blabbing about stuff irrelevant to the topic.
Most of the SPW users wouldn't relate much to this discussion. lolz.

I've even had adults and even their kids ask me this before.. Sadly I always have the same answer because I'm a push over. "I dunno, I just am I guess". Then they go on their merry way.
I have tinnitus which bugs my ears and my visions blurry when reading small print sometimes.
Gotta save my voice! :D

I got asked that soo much last year.. I even got called a mute a few times and some people would try to say "Hello" to me just to see if I could talk.. D:

I usually just say "thats just how I am..:)".

This thread made me think about some guy that I shared some classes with in high school. He was even more quiet than me and was often called "Death".

I myself usually reply with "I'm tired". I know they stopped believing that now, but it's the only thing I can think of at the time.
