I really feel like I'm not in the mood to exercise, when I actually start to do it. But once I've started to do it, it gets done pretty easily. Usually, I'd do a 45-minute workout everyday, but today, I've got a bad cold, so that's that. No workout for today, I guess.

Otherwise, I would do a bunch of squats, push-ups, lunges, and some abdomen exercises as well. Oh well, there's always another day to do it, I guess...

I've been doing my 5k run more often than my 1 mile run, and it is showing in my times. When I started I was getting around 38 minutes or so, and now I am getting around 33 minutes or so. It's a slow process, but the improvement is there! Plus, as vain is it may sound, I'm starting to get a bit of a runners body and I'm not unhappy about that

Things have been going great guys. Been running 20 miles a week the past few weeks.

Got my time trial down to 20:42 last week in 5k on a track.

Ran 12 miles so far this week, all easy runs pretty much.

I have this little burn in my back heel area. It hasn't effected my running but when i sit at night i can feel it sometimes. weird. Anyway, i've been takin it easy this week because of it.

Maybe 5k time trial again tomorrow but rest will be easy.

Great idea! I'm out of commission due to a minor surgery, but I like strength training and been a recreational bodybuilder for about 20 years. I will say when I'm not training, depression hits me harder. Completely a believer that exercising is great, if not the best therapy. Do what you love be it yoga, spinning, running, lifting. Whatever makes you feel great 😊

I just realized, the unit your are counting your running distance in, is what gives your Australianness away!

I haven't run in a while, it probably made my stamina go down, apart from that : stretching my hips primarily, what's killing me is the fact that I have to remain seated during class, it's pretty bad for anyone's posture.

Could be from Europe or NZ, but kilometres confuse my American running friends.

Been doing really well. Got in 10 mile run on monday on treadmill, and got in speed work on treadmill on wednesday. About a 6:45/min mile pace for 2.5 miles on wednesday and the rest of the run was close to easy pace.

Breaking 20 min 5k is the goal before new years

Best time this year for 5k is 20:38 on treadmill. Outdoors 5k was 21:18 best time

Did 5 miles on treadmill earlier. Did 2.7 miles in 17:33. Looking strong. Very close to that 20 minute mark.

Treadmill only goes to 6:00 per mile pace so it looked like i wasn't gonna make it in under 20 for 5k.

Easy pace was very comfortable today at 10 min / mile for rest of run

i was wrong about treadmill pace. It goes faster than what i thought.

Got to 2.6 miles today at 16:57. I didn't feel i could push through the pain for the last half mile in 3 minutes.

A lot to be positive about.

I'm at a stage where i can set goals for times to break 20 minutes in 5k on the treadmill.

next week goal will be 2.91 miles at about 18:30. That should put me in position to break 20 if i can finish.

did 5 miles total. rest was slow easy pace.

Really bad burning sensation but it's not really something that is damaged by running. Actually i hear exercise is good for it.

Haven't been feeling well because of it since Monday.

I put some vaseline on it today and it was way better. still burning bad at times though.

Ran 7 miles on monday and on sunday did about 30 mins of inside the house running and jumping jacks. I'll count that as another 3 miles.

Tomorrow maybe go for that speed training again. trying to run 5 miles, about 3 miles at speed.

This where the adversity comes. IT's easy to say, uh, i have this medical condition so I'll take a few weeks off.

No. That's when i get lazy and lose my fitness.

See, that's what happens to so many people.

They hit their adversity and they just stop exercising, they stop going for their goals.

Then they just develop a sedentary lifestyle.

Just thought i'd throw out some knowledge.

If you realize what you're doing, you may take a healthier path.

I did it guys.

Broke 20 minutes on the treadmill 5k run.

Best moment of my running life since high school.

I came at it with a sense of urgency.

I knew when I got that rhythm going I had to go for it.

I kicked up the pace to 6:07 per mile for about 1.6 miles of the first two miles and that's what made the difference.

I put myself in a position to relax a little on the last mile.

I hit that wall that I usually hit around 2.6 miles mark, but this time the wall was more of a hill.

My training paid off.

I'm in a great position for "the season" next year.

My goal is to run sub 19 5k.

I ran a 19:49 on wednesday so by April race season should begin and I would think i'll be under 19 minutes by that time.

Now i can relax a little because there should be a little less stress because my goal has like 5 months to accomplish and i already completed the 1st part of the goal (sub 20 mins)
