Ever type a post, then not post it?

Yea sometimes I do that. Yesterday I wanted to share my depressing childhood and my miserable life.. I've typed a wall of text and then I just deleted it.

I was afraid some of you'd judge me and bully me like ppl did to me on other forum.

All the time. I think that it will be a stupid comment or something. Sometimes I write the long paragrah and think, would this really help anybody? So I never post it. I'm also afraid that people will judge me by it, like they will see that as way of thinking for everything.

Yes, I do it. I also sometimes write things down just for myself, it's like blogs that I don't post.

Yeah especially on facebook but I'm practising just saying what I think without second thoughts. It's hard -but I think it could be a good thing in the long run. I mean isn't that what extroverts do anyway?

The majority of the time that's what I do. I probably post one out of ten things that I write.

I must have literally wasted keyboards by this. Most of my biggest forums posts end up like "Nah... I will get misinterpreted, I'll sound like a moron, ....)

Only the ones that I type when I am very angry. A few of those have slipped past me anyway. I am as some of you know a little bit of a hothead. LOL. But for the most part I keep myself in check. ;);););)

Does anyone ever type up a post or thread then never press the submit button?
I find myself doing this ALOT on this forum and others.

I think I might do it because I'm worried that I'm not typing the right words so I think that no one would understand me or get my point. Or that no one wants to here what I have to say. or I dont know...

Does anyone else do this?

Not only do I type posts and not submit it (not on here), I also start typing a post or response knowing full well, even before I start it, that I won't post it. This happens mostly on Facebook. I don't know why I do that, I guess it's kind of that, 'Type a letter saying everything you want to say but then don't mail it' kind of therapy. I also type email replies at work saying what I really want to tell the person, then I don't send them.

Yes I have. Sometimes it's because I realize I have already responded to the threader before, and the threader posted the exact same question again.

I do this all the time. Sometimes it's because I'm not sure that what I wanna say will make any sense.

Sometimes, yes. On this forum I sometimes write a post, but then I feel like I've shared too many details about myself or that I didn't know how to express my opinion with words. On FaceBook I never write anything besides birthday congratulations to my "friends", and that's because I don't think I have anything interesting to share and I know I'll meet the people in real life later. On YouTube, I never hesitate to write what I think about something. Right now I'm telling aggressive commenters to stop spreading hate, and that results in a lot of negative reactions, but I don't care.

I do this a lot when I'm replying to someone. I tend to agonize over how I phrase my words so I don't get misunderstood, and then in the end I delete it because I become too tired. lol....
