Your motivation for living?

at my most fundamental level, probably just hope! Hope that somehow, behind this whole existence, there's something beautiful. That there's some kind of meaning and purpose to it all and that one day everything will come together and everything will be ok.

On a more practical level, I think two things motivate me; Love and possibility. Love, in the sense that when I think of all the times I've been down and someone or something has comforted me, I love the idea of passing on that comfort to others. Everything that has ever made my life better, I want to share with others so that I can hopefully make their lives better too......and possibility motivates me, cause I just love dreaming and thinking about what's possible in this universe. It's possible that you or I could be the next John Lennon, or Mother theresa, or Leonardo Da Vinci, and I just love that thought. It's such an amazing opportunity. It's like we're all sitting on lottery tickets, but to win we don't have to rely on luck and chance, we actually have the power within ourselves to make it happen if we want it, if we can only figure it out.....even if we fail I think it's worth a shot!

It's natural to be afraid of dying. That's our motivation for living.

For awhile now i haven't been afraid of death itself. Theres no reason for it, you've got to go sometime. It can be very mysterious and foreboding but i think it's also something glorious and awe-inspiring. I am a afraid of dying in a painful manner though.

As for motivations for living i want to see what happens next for humanity as a whole. New events, new technology, new philosophy. It might sound silly but I also hope for us to connect with extraterrestrial life someday. :p

I have plenty to live for at the moment.

Number one is the running dream I have made come true. I am training for a a marathon next year. I want to live to keep this running dream going as long as I can.

I'm 47 and thinking of running a marathon this is surreal and so wonderful.

Two years ago I was in severe pain with a knee injury and couldn't run. Five years ago I was having panic attacks and was suffering from debilitating fatigue.

Just lost my current one, or what I thought was. Shouldn't rely on anyone for ANYTHING. I'm not saying I have nothing to live for, but it's nice to have a little motivation. Probably a good idea to have more than one as well. Right now I'm looking....

My motivation to live is to be around to see my daughter grow into a wonderful woman. Although I have SA, I'm kind of curious how my life is going to turn out in the future. I can't imagine dying with this condition without experiencing the good side of social activities.

Plus there is a lot I haven't accomplished yet in this life before it's over; and that is making some kind of difference in people's life, and it doesn't matter what it is, just as long as I can make a positive change somewhere along the lines.

I believe there's a purpose for me being here, besides being a mother and wife, and I intend to stick around as long as I can to see what it is - at least that's what I want.
