Women: Bald and Beautiful?

In a few years, unless some new cure surfaces onto the medical scene, there's a chance I might possibly look like this:

What do you think? Can bald be the new beautiful?

More than anything I need courage, hope, and to be accepted for more than the dead fibers hanging from my head.

Umm..i dont know if there was meant to be a photo there...but i cant see it!

Anyway some bald hotties: Sinead O'connor, Demi Moore (she was very hot in GI Jane), Gail Porter (you so have to look this woman up, she still looks amazing), Natalie Portman shaved her head for a film and Kylie Minogue when she had cancer. Look these women up because they still look really feminine and lovely with no hair.

I reckon if you just completely own the style...it could look really cool

If you really hate the idea maybe you could just cut it pretty short and try adn get some texture in it or buy some accessories like hair clips and scarves that cover your head a bit.

This must be really hard for you...i really hope you learn to embrace it (easier said than done) but pretty much everything looks good when someone is comfortable with their own style.

I've been thinking seriously about shaving my head. I'm terrified though to do this. Or else, doing a really short half-inch cut from the head or something. And find some nice scarves to wear over my head. I've seen girls wear some really pretty head wraps. If I do go bald, I'd have to change my clothing style completely so I can have more pizzaz.

I dont think you should shave it straight off...that might be scary and shock you. I know it always takes me a while to adjust if i really change my hair. I reckon it might be easier to make short hair look thicker though and ease you into your new look

Short hair/no hair both do look good though :)

My sister is trying to grow her hair but in her impatience she puts these clips in which have hair attached...its like hair extensions but you can just un-clip them...this might help if you really aren't ready for the cut yet.

I think like a lot of things we are more worried and aware of this stuff than the people looking at us are...people might stare...but if i saw a bald chick i would think she was really confident and cool so thats why i'd look :D

That's a great idea! I don't care if a woman has long hair. No one looks great in frumpy clothing or sweats in the first place. You'd be surprised what a difference nice clothes, makeup and accessories does for everyone. Those women in the video were all beautiful as hell. My friend once shaved her head completely. It takes a lot of confidence for a woman to shave her head completely and there are men and women out there who think that it's really hot. You'll never have a bad hair day and if you ever want to change, there are countless wigs out there that you can try! It's good that you're staying positive about the whole thing. I wish you a lot of fun experimenting with different looks. :)

If you want to know my opinion, I think baldness is the future, for both men and women. I am a male, and personally, I prefer short hair on a woman as compared to long hair. Of course, we aren't used to women being bald currently, but it's just a matter of getting used to. I've often imagined how a women would look bald. And I have found that she would look beautiful, or not, for reasons other than her hair.

I dunno... I agree they can still look hot....but whenever I see one I always think they are rebelling against the system..or protesting the cutting down of trees or something stupid that makes no sense..and that is un-attractive to me because dangit woman .. we need wood :)

haha, so now when you see a bald woman you can think, she must not be rebelling against "the system" or whatever, and doesn't want to be bald, but instead she can't help it anyways because biology worked against her.

But I must say, I love the people who protest cutting down trees!! Tree Huggers rock. We don't need so much wood, not in the 21st century :)
