What does a hermit do?

So ,

for the hermits out here.

What do you do in the house ? computer, but be specific. what do you do?

there must be something we still do, all though being stuck in the house!

I spent most of my time on facebook chatting with people i know virtually. I watch a lot of shows, i game sometimes, i read a lot of books, i skype sometimes, i go to socialphobiaworld.com and other forums, i play guitar in my room, lifting weights, i write lettesr with penpals, i draw manga, i am a member of lumosity.com and train my brain, i shower every single day to reduce my anxiety , i visit my grandparents at least once a week.

thats all, how about y'all?

Painting, drawing, playing music, reading fiction and history books, yoga, lifting weights, writing, cooking pastries, learning new things, and watching movies of course but the less time spent in front of the computer = the less bored, tired and depressed I'll be, so I avoid it. I'm not a real hermit though (whatever my friends say), because I spend a lot of time outside... Alone.

I visit sites, walk my dog, EAT, go grocery shopping late at night, go for drives late at night, lift weights, play games, read, and watch movies and listen to music.

I also lay in bed a lot and daydream while listening to philosophy videos on Youtube and pretend to understand them. ha ha

I actually go crazy be staying too much in my house. It's always a change between computer and tv, and back to computer. Can't wait for spring and summer to come around, go fishing and spearfishing will probably make me feel better, I get really depressed by those long canadian winters.

Partake in menial tasks to distract myself from the intense feeling of guilt that stems from not being able to contribute more to society.

what does a hermit do-

Right now I am a disgrace to hermitville...counting the dog hairs on my comforter, looking for weed in the carpet, watching hrs of old t.v. shows from the 90's....

A hermit is sombody who doesn`t go out side because he or she afraid of going out side. If your going outside on a day to day basic then you are not a hermit. which is a good thing mean you are moving up in the world. As for hermit you just have to take thing slow. go out only a little bit at a time. Do keep up hobbies and internet to keep the meaning of life going. I am getting ready to start online school to help build confidents . Just focus on somthing as smiple as going out to the store to buy food on your own would be a big impovement. pretty much everything that a hermit does while in side been said.

It feels like being trapped after a while. Four walls become the boarders between you and everything that both scares and intrigues. A life wasted and used up with meaningless repetition...then, I've never been able to live a 'normal' life for any meaningful length of time. I got bored of all of this repetition years ago... lol... =S

Mainly I have a lot of difficulty leaving my bedroom so I'm limited to things that can fit in there. I have my husband's computer in there along with my own. A tv with an xbox, with just 3 games. I like cooking as a hobby but that has to wait for me to feel comfortable outside of my bedroom on my good days. Living with so much anxiety that it allows for no other alternative then to become hermit-ted is exhausting mentally and a drain on your entire being.

That's just my experience though...

Go on long runs, photograph sunrises, sunsets, widflowers. Write, dream. There is a lot you can do living in seclusion from society.

Read, read a lot. And exercise at home (nothing difficult, but a bracing short routine). I think that if we can't go outside, the best we can do is to take refuge in the development of our faculties. Books are easy to get, and a basic exercise routine doesn't require a lot. If that doesn't make us better, at least
prevents a further deterioration.

I mostly just read, makeup and write fantasy stories , daydream about my fantasy world, play video games and watch TV.

I don't consider myself a hermit, just *friendship challenged."

I probably get out of the house just as much as any socially ept person, only difference is I'm on my own when doing shopping, running errands etc instead of social-ising.
At home its similar to what you guys do.
