What do you want to do with your life

I don't know which subforum to put this in. I figure this place is as good as any.

Anyway I've been thinking about the future. Do you guys have a plan for your future or are you just making things up as you go along? I often feel like I'm wandering aimlessly but I can't really figure out what I want to do with my life.

I have a few goals I would like to achieve, but I dont have the slightest idea on what to do to obtain them

Ever since leaving high school, 3 years ago, I've not had a clue what I am going to do. I tried University...hated it and dropped out.

Then again, when I was at school, I didn't have any plans beyond school either. Except then I felt like I was still doing something by doing well at school.

Now, I'm applying to join the Air Force and hopefully get some sort of routine back and get a job at the same time.

I used to have big ambitious dreams - I was going to be successful and be liked by many. Life made some funny twists, and now I'm the exact opposite what I imagined I'd be. Now something as little as independence of any kind seems like an unattainable goal.

I dare not look beyond next week - because there's just nothing there. Beyond meaningless possessions, I have little more than small hope and a shred of dignity left. I'm afraid that if I were to think of the future, I'd lose that too.

I just kinda hold on and try to stay in the moment. In small portions it doesn't seem as bad.

You just described my life. I have been jobless for 8 months now, I feel down and dejected. After all the countless applications sent and facing rejection, I just lost momemtum to look for a job since. I should be actively working to get a job, instead I mostly couldn't get out of bed most days. Just living day after day, hating it so much, yet feel not one ouce of energy to improve this bad situation.

I would love to work in the gaming industry. My problem is, all I have are my ideas. I'm terrible with coding, not fast/good enough at art design to be useful, have no experience with modeling or texturing, and not a very good writer...
So I'd basically just be going in like HelloIhavethisideawillyoumakeitformeplease? Dx

That's a tough question. I can't say it precisely. I'm still in the process of getting to know my own identity.

I know that I want to do something with music and creativity. I want love with my partner and someone who will stay til the end. I want sweet animals surrounding me. I want to read 1000's of books, they make me feel good. I want to smile more and enjoy the moments.... I want to be, just happy

I'm hoping to find my soulmate someday, and make something out of myself with my art, and would like to learn how to play music. Living-wise, anything that is comfy and sunny :3

I just want to exist. Like the moon or a tree. Noone has ever asked a tree what it wants to do with it's life.

But in all seriousness I just want to decouple from all the screens and have more experiences. Like involving all the senses.

Other than that no grand plans.

But who votes for the horrible Government? They won a massive 90 seats at the last election which tells you that their is many vile people in Australia.

Australia is rich in minerals, has one of the strongest economies yet it treats the poor and disadvantaged as if they were criminals. The Government is right wing conservative trying to make Australia as bad as America.

I think I won't ever move there then. I already live that reality everyday here in America. God's favorite country! :-/

I used to be really ambitious and want to make something "brag worthy" out of myself, but now I just want to do something that will make me happy. Maybe that entails having a family or being some kind of software engineer. I still haven't come up with an exact answer as to what will make me happy, but that is the definitely the goal I'm striving for. :thinking:

I want to be challenged everyday and have something to occupy my mind and engage my brain and keep me completely occupied with problems that aren't my own, something that also allows me to not have to deal with the public too much. Science gives me that.
