This question is really more than just a get to know you question. as I am starting to realize it not that we can`t come up with something to say in that we are not sure of what great or good enough to share to the world. So maybe if we all understand more about what a large group of people like to talk about is where do we begin to understand what is right to share to the world about are selves. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will share with my favorite things that I like to talk about. things that make me feel I can connect real fast if I ever heard these topic come up. 1. paranormal 2. childhood ( when I learn about someone childhood and how they where raise I feel real closes to them. ) 3.funny movies 4. cartoons you watch as a kid. 5. favorite toy you had as a kid. So what is the real value of what people like to talk about VS what we really like to talk about. Do you know the things that you like to talk about ? Do you know why you like to talk about them ? Are you sure that everyone around you want to hear about it ? hard questions to answer for most of us here But important questions to answer .

I like to talk about manga, manhwa, anime, music, computers, and the news. I like to talk about these things because I keep up with them almost everyday. Besides music and the news, I doubt most people like to hear about them.

  1. sports
  2. work
  3. relationships
  4. there Kids
  5. hanging out with there friends
problem is I don`t have any of these things to talk about myself. I made this thread because I want to find a good reason for wanting to go out side again it pointless to go out and try to make friends if I still can`t come up with any thing interesting to say to people.

Movies, music, art, the environment, it depends where the conversation goes usually. Sometimes random things gets talked about. Once I started talking about freezie pop's, lol.

I suppose it depends on how I'm feeling. I like talking about a range of things, so to pinpoint what I do like talking about is difficult.

I know what I don't like discussing: politics, news, gossip. So that's an easier question to answer. :)

I thought you would have said the virtues of living in Shellharbour and talking about heavy metal.

To be truthful, I don't particularly like talking about heavy metal to people. Either they don't like it to begin with, or the ones that do seem to criticise the bands I listen to. I usually then just leave it.

I could talk about Shellharbour for some time, though. :) That is something I know.

All i know is I don't like anything that customers want to talk about with me, I don't enjoy small talk. I think thats why ive always been attracted to the 'unusual' people, like me! I like to talk about the paranormal, the universe, extraterrestrials, conspiracy theories, crime, music, games, animals and the news, but not mainstream news..

I love to discuss movies, shows, cartoons and games. Basically all kinds of fiction. I also like to talk about science (but to a lesser extend because I don't know a great deal about most fields).

Cars (just about any), sports, movies, human behavior, places I have traveled to and current events in the news.

I find that the easiest thing for me to talk about with people is animals. More specifically, listening to stories about their pets. It's an easy conversation to start, and an easy one to continue, because people love to talk about their pets, and love having someone who wants to hear about it.

Other than that, I usually try to get a feel for what the other person's passion is, and formulate a conversation around that. Could be philosophy, could be tigers, could be gardening (another easy topic). It helps to have a wide range of interests, lots of curiosity, and bits of knowledge so you can talk about almost anything.

If all else fails, ask them what they do for a living, or where they went to school, or where they are from originally. Ask lots of questions. :)

My favorite conversations are often just local happenings with friends. I also love to talk about sociology, psychology, books, writing, criminology, music, and travel. Bargain hunting and money saving is another favorite topic of mine.

^I like to talk about those too.

I'm pretty much opened minded, so anything really.

My interests are narrow but I try to be open-minded. Connecting with people means being interested in what they have to say, and it doesn't have to be something I'm personally interested in. Plus maybe I could learn something new from the convo. Talking about electricity sucks but I can learn something useful.

There are too many people out there that should read this sentence and use it. I generally don't like talking at length about myself because it usually bores the other person.

Music, TV shows, movies, anime, travel, computers, games, latest tech etc.
But mostly I'm talking about what the other person is talking about.
