What cheers you up when you're down?

Ok, so it's the last day of my "holiday" and i'm back to work tomorrow. I've pretty much done nothing this past week, apart from watch tv and play video games. I'm desperate to get out of the house and get some fresh air. My mum asked if i felt like going out for a few hours with our dog so i'm looking forward to going out and getting some fresh air. I don't like going for walks by myself because of my anxiety and i'm pretty sure i've developed a bit of agoraphobia. I hate walking down the street by myself because it feels like there's a spotlight on me and everyone's looking at me. Whether it's cars driving by or people walking towards me, i hate it. When i'm walking with someone my anxiety pretty much vanishes. It's weird.

Anyway, my mood has lifted a little now that i'm going out for a while. What things make you feel better and cheer you up when you're down?

Music in particular can make me feel pretty good.

Other than that, some good food and purchasing things helps, as well.

Hie yer hence from me heath!
Music definitely helps when I feel down
Playin' the guitar for an hour or 2 hours straight
Comedy (Movies; Sitcoms; Stand-up)
Writing (mainly venting ma emotions)
Drawing and painting

Basically anything that takes ma mind off or distracts me from why I'm feelin' down, even just fur a wee while.

Going for a walk but only when the sun is shining. I don't mind the cold but grey skies are disgusting! and sometimes also reading and watching Hollywood classics (bring it on, Cary Grant!), even though that sometimes feels like wasting time :idontknow:

Work'd do it!

6am up gettin fed 'n' clothed, out da door for a march to the platform, relishing a seat on the train, watching the scenery go past at 200mph, or lying on my back in the aisle, bouncing into London. Never bored. People everywhere. Summertime lunch in a park

Otherwise, in the car heading for a remote business park in the countryside, feeling superhuman with the subwoofer rattling the guts. Arriving reborn, every day :perfect:

Music, listening to or watching something that'll make me laugh, reading a magazine or book, doing art. Edit: forgot to mention, hugs.

Oddly enough, cleaning my appartment cheers me up. Not the action of cleaning it, because I hate cleaning, but the result, because being in a messy place makes me feel like a mess...
Also, reggae music. I'm more of a metal/punk/bluegrass fan but music has such a huge impact on my mood that if I put reggae on I immediately feel like everything is chill.
Watching a movie is also good, but it only last for the time of the movie :/

When the weather's good, I go to the beach. Going to a movie is nice or trying a new restaurant. Walking around a shopping mall.

Personally I don't like going out either and when I do, I go to the cathedral (despite not being a practicing catholic)...I find out those serene places tend to be best for me. No noise. No talking. And an opportunity to be in a public place without having to socialize .
