Watching River Monsters on Animal Planet and surfing Tumblr (I haven't been on much this past week, so I have a lot to catch up on). On River Monsters, the guy is noodling for catfish. Earlier he was trying to catch alligator gar, which are living in a river not far from my house. He caught one that was about 6 or 7 feet long and weighed 150+. Eek.

ETA: Now he's actually in the Illinois River, getting pelted by the "flying" Asian carp. This is actually something I want to see in person. They often jump in your boat and many people get hit by the fish.

Am contemplating my first trip to a cash and trade pawn shop tomorrow. I have some jewelry I never wear, & a car stereo to get rid of.

This is an effort to scrounge up grocery money, since my auto ins. bill is due about the same time as rent.
