One hour until my very first therapy session. So freakin' nervous!!!

You'll be alright, trust me! Just take a deep breath, let the nasties out of your body, and walk to that office:)! You're walking to your freedom from this prison called social anxiety! Good luck!

Just finished registering for some classes next semester. Now, I'm setting up a meeting to talk to my advisor about something that's long overdue. I should have done this long before this point, but I procrastinated. Now, SPW, please be sure to remind me to stop putting things off until the last second! There were barely any classes to choose from! I'm lucky that the classes that I need for my general requirements and major are still open:mad:, but I still need one more class! But, that's why I'm setting up a meeting, so let's hope that things go well tomorrow:).

Okay, I'm back from therapy. That was just about the most unbearable thing in the whole world. I was almost shaking as I was telling my therapist, Julianne, about me and why I was there. It's very difficult to tell a complete stranger that you're depressed and anxious and you need help.

I had to try not to burst into nervous, involuntary laughter.

However, as the session went on, I got less nervous (but not completely calm). I have got very good first impressions from my therapist and I'm going back next Friday. She told me she wouldn't be offended if I said I didn't want to see her anymore, but I said I did.

I know it's probably nothing, but just before I left, I said, "I like you upon first impressions," and she replied with a chuckle and "you don't have to say that." Was that bad? Should I not have said that? Now I'm going to be thinking about that all week instead of the session we had. ::(:

All things considered, though, it was a success of sorts.
