I wish I had a mentor, or someone that will listen to me and give me advice. No one really understands or listens to me.. not even my so called "best friend".

Blah. I just want to atleast VENT.

I have a paper to write but I don't want to. I asked my professor for an incomplete grade last semester because I was severely depressed. I had 5 months to do this paper AND I'm taking a semester off -- I had all the time to do it. Never started. I emailed him and told him I'll hand it in by tomorrow because I thought a deadline would make me write it. Guess it didn't help.

It's technically due in a week but I'm leaving to a foreign country in 3 days. Could I write this paper in 3 days? Sure I can. But I can't work well under pressure anymore, I get so overwhelmed and so much anxiety. I don't want to bring my work on my trip. I've been stressing about this for way too long, I just want it to be over. That's why I'm willing to take an F, or something. I just feel like a terrible person for pulling my professor's chain. I'm thinking of writing him a handwritten letter saying how sorry I am about all this.

Well, in the worst case scenario, you might have to take it with you. Do you think that your grade will survive that F and, on top of that, do you think your professor will trust you again if you botch this attempt up? Will this situation ever occur again? These are questions that you need to ask yourself and have an answer to. If this happens again, I doubt your professor will take you lightly. Just calm down right now and make milestones for your work; for example, if your paper was a three-paragraph paper, then finish 1 paragraph each day. That way, you finish your work and don't bog yourself down. Please don't let this happen again and try not to put your work off so much.

I just agreed to going to some Halloween thing with my roommate. What the hell is wrong with me?

I want out. NOW.
^ And I was freaking out about it, as usual. I ended up having a little bit of fun, even with 7 other girls with us that I had no idea who they were. They were nice though.

I can concur here, but there's a few people that will understand - there always is. They're the ones you should be talking to and hopefully get some mad advice out of it.

Did you tell your professor that you were severely depressed? Maybe that would've kick-started the help you would've needed at the time.

That's not a bad idea, personally.

Hey, Phoenixx, I'm so glad you ended up having a great time. Sometimes the events that you think will be mediocre will be some of the best. You go girl! :D

I'm an art major, and this is my final year in school, so I have to come up with an idea for my senior project that will be exhibited next semester. Inspiration finally hit me last night, and I'm now brainstorming ideas for how to lay it out visually.

I'm sure that you will get used to it. Besides, you got out and had fun, that's a grand accomplishment:D! Did you make any new friends? What will you do to congratulate yourself?

^ No, still no new friends. I really want some candy though, hehe. I wish I had the chance today to go to the store to buy some. :p I shall have to reward myself tomorrow.

It doesn't matter that you didn't get any new friends out of it. What does matter is that you had a great time and you got to mingle with some new people, who seem like cool people from what you were saying. That's awesome! :)

Have some candy!

Completing 0 push ups for psychical testing = winning
Were you on 7-gram rocks while doing the push-ups? ;)

NURSE PRACTITIONER: Are you always such a quiet girl?

ME: Nope, just while I'm getting a gynecological exam...but thanks for asking.

(Aren't there any situations when people are NOT expected to be chatty??? I mean, come on!)

I used to be an art major as well and that final exhibit is one of the reasons I switched majors. I just couldn't even fathom doing it. I wish you the best of luck! :)
