I quite enjoy watching the Olympics. It's interesting to watch how the athletes mentally deal with all the pressure when they're finally in the moment. They've been training their entire lives for that one moment, and especially if they are a favourite in their respective sport, there is a lot of expectation riding on their shoulders. Sometimes they rise to the occasion, and other times they just break down. I find it fascinating.
I generally take more interest in the summer games, because it's so hard for New Zealand to win anything at the winter ones. I think our last medal was in 1992.
I love the olympics. I've seen the opening ceremony yesterday and it was so amazing. I'm also not a fan of patriotism, but I'm a big fan of culture. The ceremonies always represent their country and their culture. I just like to see that. Plus I like natives and celtic music and tap dance.
i really like watching the summer and winter olympics.. i don't particularly root for anyone, i mean it's nice if the US wins or whatever, but i just like watching the events and surroundings, i guess... i loved the last summer olympics in china, i was sure rooting for michael phelps then! haha.. it's just neat to watch, and all of the buildings and set ups and all for the events, it's cool 🙂 i was trying to think of my favorite sport for this years winter olympics to watch, but i really just like them all..
it's not exactly a good memory, but i felt terrible about that man who died in his practice luge run, that was horrible :🙁:
and apollo ohno and the 19 year old american (i can't remember his name) who placed 2nd and 3rd in speed skating.. speed skating is awesome to watch because it's so intense there at the end, and people passing each other when they are RIGHT THERE beside eachother leaning in going around a turn, it's nuts!
canada v. usa should be good! i think they all think usa will lose, canada owns hockey! haha
since i don't know anything much about ice hockey but i like watching. could someone tell me who are the top five countries??? im guessing usa, canada, russia are up there
the 2 top teams...Canada and Russia have not looked as dominant as they should be......this game will be closer than ppl think....haha I just hope canada can pull it off!
