Night Owl or no?

Sometimes I like staying up late, knowing most other people are asleep.
I'm not sure why, but it gives me a feeling... something like comfort?

Does anyone else do and feel the same? Why do you think you enjoy it?

Night owl here, as well. I have my own reasons for it, but I can see what you mean. Being up at those hours kinda makes you feel like you're in on something that other people are missing out on. Plus no one is up to give you any grief: no one knocking on the door, soliciting on the phone, etc. Generally speaking. That said, I get a similar feeling when it rains. Being a homebody, it gives me a perverse thrill to know that everyone else is stuck inside like I am. But I happen to love the smell, sound, look of the rain, too. Still, it's comforting in ways I can't always articulate.

I'm definitely a night owl too. I guess I like it because there's a quietness and a sense of finally being alone and being able to be left to my thoughts that is calming to me.

Even when I was a baby my mom said she had to leave toys in my crib for me to play with in the middle of the night.

Yea I agree,I'm still not sure why I myself enjoy it but I understand what you're saying. About the rain too.

I suffer from insomnia. I often wake up at 3:00 and can't go to sleep for few hours. Can't say I enjoy it.

I don't sleep very often every night I go to bed around 1 or 2 am and I do enjoy being awake. Although I don't like complete darkness so I always have a dim light on.

I do. I stay up way too late nearly every night because I love the silence. I like being awake while the rest of the world sleeps. It is so peaceful.

I don't understand why I do this either. Sometimes I'll stay up until 5 in the morning... Right now, I'm trying to change. This has happened before and I usually have to adjust my time so I won't be sleepy during the day or so I don't sleep into the day.

I love staying up late through the night when i know I have work the next day. It doesnt happen too often, but if I find out that I dont have to go to work when I normally would, and others do.. I LOVE being a night owl.
