I'm beginning to realize that my problems are more fundamental than getting a girlfriend, and it's likely that I'm just irredeemably screwed up.

I dont think youre irredeemably screwed up but I DO think that self-defeating attitude will hinder your potential to change.

I agree! Recognize your flaws, but don't sell yourself short. Don't be fatalist or beat yourself-up. You can get better. If you have negative people around you, tune them out or get away from them if at all possible.

Yes Im still with her and we are closer than ever even with her living in California and me being in Spain until June....Thank you for the advice.....Ive learned not to message them alot if they dont respond the hard way too! haha

My life would be better if I lived in the wilderness surrounded by nature. My probelms are maginifed when I am around people.

We should switch, I live in the country and I cant imagine a worse hell.
Perhaps if I could sit in my room without wasps dive bombing my head around summer time it wouldnt be so bad

I used to text girls nonstop when they wouldnt respond to me and in the end I never heard back from them OR they told me to stop talking to them.

all of your posts are pretty spot on for me. i think of myself as a pretty open compassionate person i think my social anxiety stems from bad feedback and such. which has actually improved, so my sa isnt as critical as it used to be. i think im just waiting for my soul mate, so sexual relationships seem redundant. idk

i would like to think my life would be better but i know it wouldnt as a relationship isnt an easy thing.
i would like any women in my life that isnt family or online, just a good friend, someone who cares for me as much as i would them, someone to make life not so lonely and a bit more fun.

to be honest i think the only reason i think about a girlfriend at the moment is for the sex, its been a very long time since ive had it and could say my testicals are slowly taking over my brain when i think about women. sexual frustration...pain in the arse

I did and still do that too sometimes, maybe thats reason they don't respond back to me.
