Yes, I do believe love is real.
But it's been heavily romanticized by books and movies. In almost every movie and book love is described as an almost Godly bond between two people, and even though love can be strong, it doesn't necessarily mean that you have to be- and feel like that to be in love with someone.
Love is merely the result of the following things; initially lust, then attraction and eventually attachment. I do believe in love, but not in things like soul mates. There are over a billion people on this Earth, one is bound to be compatible with you. =3
Just remember, real love is free.. If it requires you to spend money in a timely fashion, it's not love. At that point it becomes emotional prostitution. Though, getting the one you like/love something nice is never a bad thing, just saying it shouldn't be a requirement. ;3
