Just had a great date!

I had my first date in since November. I just had a date tonight with this really cute SAer gurl that I met at SAS. It went really well We both managed to get past our anxiety and had a good time. We hung out in my room watching a movie, then I took her to the Niagara escarpment and showed her this amazing view of my city at night, then later took her home. Hugged n kissed her goodbye and she says she had a good time too

On a side note I got to talk to my friend on the phone who is in the hospital in California and found out he is doing good and didn't die on me. I'm having a really good day. My depression is also in remission.

For those who are really depressed/suicidal thinking it will never get better, it does get better. Please give life a chance, things will work out in the end. If you are a nice person and you treat people well, good things will happen to you, I promise. I struggled with major depression for the past 5 years and dysthymia for over 12 years and they are finally in remission. I am happy to be alive. If I can do it, so can you

Okay, I'll be the one who would rather focus on his own misery than be glad for someone else. I don't want to do it, but it must be done.

I wish I could go on a date. Just one date. At this point, I'd even settle for a lousy one, as it would be beat not having a date at all.

Okay, now that that's done with, congrats, Noca. And if you can do it, I can also learn to be happy to be alive. But if things don't work out between the two of you, and if she's not too crazy, feel free to let her migrate to New Jersey this fall. But please keep the depression to yourself, as I've already got one of those.

So... update. Apparently she didn't think it was a date somehow, but she said she had a good time. She said she wanted to see me again but just doesn't know when. She left her phone at my house too so... yeah (she lost it in my couch).

I asked her on another date and she said that shes been hurt a lot and is scared to, that she just wants to "chill" for now. Um, I don't know what to do. Any advice anyone?
