Is anybody else doing nothing for new years

I dont like new years because I know pretty much everyone else has a social life, and new years is the pinnacle of getting together with friends that have known each other for years to feel belonging and inclusion...

I'll be running in a fun run on New Year's morning. There's about 200 hundred people in it. Might even go and watch the fire works the night before.

I have a life, never had a desire to be social to be honest.

I remember the only time in my life i ever did anything for new years, i was at a party. When midnight struck, the next thing I knew, every person around me literally was making out with someone else. It was like this huge spectacle of machines enjoying the lips of someone else. It got quiet because everyone was kissing, and I was standing there alone. I've never felt more alone in my life. That's when it hit me like a boulder to my head how much different i am than other people.

As for this new years, i have no plans. It will be the same as any other night, probably watch football on tv.

Me and my aunt have a joke that we will start a library that would be open during all the big holidays since neither one of us like family reunions or other social gatherings, but we don´t want to be home alone. This New Years I won´t do anything, no library work, no socializing. I will treat the day as any other day, which it in reality is.

You know what we should do? Call up as many people as we can to come here onto SPW forum during New Years. Might make us feel at least a tiny bit less alone and more part of something.:)

I've spent every new years alone since I was 14.. except one. Which I spent playing puppets with my best friend. Yep.

Ill probably do nothing, just like last year.

I was invited to two parties that I made excuses for to miss. Ill just do the same this year.

I dont do anythng, never have done, its just another day like any other to me, Hubby and i watch tv, say night to the kids and go to bed, thats it!

^ I think that is an awesome idea :)

And no I never do anything on new year's. It might just be me, but I never really found the point of throwing a huge party just because of the start of a new year.
