If you won the Lottery........

Sort of self explanitary. What would you do if you won the lottery?

I would build a small and completely self sufficient town in the country side
and move everyone in from SPW. Stick all the SA people in one place and sod the rest of the world.

And of course I'd leave some to a few charities and animal rescue centres.

* Locate a perfect secluded area in the wilderness that would allow me to obtain all resources I need. Farm for food, river or lake (and rain) for washing/drinking/farming, trees for potential heat and small construction, open field as general recreation area. ect.

* Design and build a house that is both modern and comfortable, but not too intrusive on the nature it surrounds. Not a huge house, but slightly bigger then I would need (may I ever want to expand without having to alter the structure).

* Certain modern luxuries such as electricity, internet and television. Internet and television over satellite, and power through renewable sources such as wind and solar power (in enough quantity to run a single normal household (and a little wiggle room)).

* A custom computer put together without a budget limit. Including all kinds of accessories to make it run and function as elegant as possible.

* A small nearby airstrip, so that I can request certain items from the civilized world from time to time.

* A separate small workshop next to the house where I can craft and create without having to worry about demolishing my house. ;3

hehehe i like your idea DoA! i wish we could all live in a real town together :: that would be awesome

if i won the lottery i'd buy a nice house somewhere interesting or tropical and adopt a bunch of dogs, and never go to work or school, and live by myself without worrying about anything. like a vacation that never ends. i guess that's a pretty typical thing to want if you win the lottery though. your idea is much more original haha

Build a warehouse to store a car collection that would rival Jay Leno's, maybe with a small upstairs apartment featuring big windows to look out onto said car collection. While I'm at it, how about a small private racetrack out back too.

I would move to a large city and indulge myself in high class escorts,then move to another country and spend my time as a student of their culture and language.

I would start a business and make it we only communicate via computer. I would hire people from SPW to do the work and they would be paid generously.

I'd probably pay off my 10g debt and then donate whatever remains to charities.
I'd rather be able to pay off my debt by working hard but that seems impossible with interest rates such as they are... and the fact that I don't make any money.

Loads of charities for animals, medical research, red cross, world aid, that type of thing, I think.
I couldn't donate all of it to my own country when there are so many other places that need it more.

I'd also buy all my friends and family yachts and we'd all participate in yacht-like activities.

I don't have much, but I don't really need anything else. I would not know what to do with it. Probably I'd give my family whatever they need and give the rest to others who need it more than me.

just an interesting observation. it seems money these days has a stigma for being the value of social status as well as its monatary value. us social phobes seem to see it as a means to a completely self sufficant way of existance, which achieved is then no longer required. unlike our social butterfly bretheren whom can never seem to get enough.

A small jackpot? Practical things, like get new glasses, a decent automobile, etc.

A large jackpot? Impractical things. A self-sufficient mountaintop stronghold, a superfluous collection of guitars and guitar amps, a big black Friesian (instead of that automobile), an Irish wolfhound, and probably a golden eagle. Or at least a red-tailed hawk. Basically I'd want to live like a medieval lord with certain modern conveniences (indoor plumbing, electricity, internet, and possibly things that go "boom!").

Any peasants want to volunteer to be oppressed?
