If all us social phobes got together for a party

I don't think it would be much more different or more enjoyable for me than if I were in a place with very social people. I'd still be too afraid to say anything or to enjoy myself & I'd still want to escape back to my home. More specifically, my room.

I think it's a good idea, but I'm not sure if I'll show up. Even if I did happen to appear, I would like to think that I would talk to at least 1-2 people; mainly because I might feel less judged because the party would only consist of people with SA.

Then again that's just a theory, I could also wind up stuck in the corner, or on my way back home.

Would you come if I made you a name tag?;) You can sit in the corner if you want. I won't think any less of you for it. I might just be doing the same.

Perhaps we'd run out of empty corners if we didn't have it in a large venue with many rooms?

that would be great. I already don't really care about what people think of me...I am sure I'm am weirdo for them...but I don't care...
at a social phobes party I would do a lot of stupid things that social people do.

What would it be like? That is...we all *knew* we were all social phobes...do you think anyone would talk to each other? or would it be about as much fun as watching paint dry?

lol

i think we'd all get along :)

well for me, knowing that we already have something in common is a great ice breaker.

it'll be weird cause there'll be some of us who may end up being the confident, "cool" person...

I think it would either bring people out of their 'shells' or destroy us a little more with the fact that we still cannot successfully converse with people who are only there because they are suffering from a similar condition.

I'm not sure if I would attend, but I would love to watch it from a 3rd party perspective. :)

this is quite funny, because i also thought of this question. i think i will be less social phobic, knowing we are all alike, and that being socially awkward is normal and i mite even be more opened. i know i wont be judged, and if i mess up, people more likely going to empathise.

but i have wondered, if there was a social world gathering, whether or not people will turn up, lol.. because i tend to cancel because of my sa :p

i get panicky and i tend to cancel alot of meet up alot.
