He has the most annoying personality of any teacher I've known and I've been unfortunate enough for him to be my English teacher for year 9, 10 and 11.
He has two moods:
1. super duper casual, where he makes crude and obnoxious jokes and insults students in a playful manner, because acting like a douche is the best way to secure good relations with your students (sarcasm).
2. super duper strict, where he looks at everyone in a mean way and any glimmer of compassion he ever had is thrown out the window. In this mood he really sets me on edge.
Any class I'm with him I loathe, mainly because he has a tendency to pick on students to answer questions or to contribute to discussions. Just today, he picked on me and I mumbled a barely audible response. He said "Speak up! Can't hear you". I tried again but he didn't hear me, so he just asked for the page reference. I forgot the page reference and I told him I didn't know what page the answer I had was on. He probably didn't hear me that time either because he just ignored me, moved on and asked the same question to the person sitting next to me. Then I heard a whole bunch of whispering around the class and sweated a whole lot and my face was blushing. Now I keep replaying that scene over and over.
I hate how just one little thing like that can screw up my day so much.
Hate being quiet as well. Too often I'm asked to repeat things over and over, I'm so used to just saying nevermind when people can't hear me.
Similar experiences anyone?
