How are you feeling?

hate my supervisor. HATE. 3 out of 5 of us in the room (5- including her and her pet) detest her because of her unprofessional, conniving ways but we have to suck it up. she cultivates ugliness in people. it's sad to say that- but it's not just me. i witness it in my coworkers. there is a huge, dark resentment toward her that no one can speak of. major tension! and there is nothing we can do. when you have to be subjected to someone who favortizes, puts her own needs above everyone else's, and then says horrible things about other people under her breath and laughs with her mindless minion at people... IT GETS TO YOU. you can only ignore it for so long. it's agreed that a darkness engulfs the room upon her entrance. my coworker said, and i agree, "i cannot imagine treating people the way she treats people."

MEAN PEOPLE SUCK.

edited to continue... i guess i didn't get it all out!

in my life i make a concious effort to avoid being around mean, negative people like her. the reason this person bothers me and i post about this so often is because i have no control over it. i cannot just quit my job. this resentment is an ugliness and weakness in me that i don't like to broadcast... that is why i keep it here.

edited to continue even more...

the following picture reminds me of myself at work. see, i work in an open office environment with a L-shaped desk that faces her but i moved my computer up against the wall, despite the fact it is an awkward position, just so that i can have my back to her. this is me at work.

i think that will be all. maybe not.

I just had a nap so I'm feeling a little bit groggy at the moment, but I'll wake up properly soon.

Overall I'm feeling okay. I'm a little disappointed in my procrastination regarding calling someone, but it frightens me. It's irrational.

Hey, Mikey, why are you having trouble calling this person?
I'm not always comfortable making phone calls either. Especially if it's just to check up. I never know what to say....But that's in almost all situations. lol

It's regarding a job (possibly) and I'm anxious about calling or answering calls from people I don't know. It's really bad. I need to suck it up and do it but I'm just terrified.

Gosh, this sounds like the worst environment to work in. I think some people get power trips and like to assert their authority no matter what. The bad thing is that you face her and you have to put up with it constantly.

I know she has bosses that she works for, too, but you have to treat your employees with respect. A workplace full of tension and hostility never works. Eventually someone will break, and it could very well be you.

Sorry you have to work with that. I hope something can happen in your favour here, but I'm not sure what.

That's great that your looking for better jobs. So, are you nervous about calling and asking about the job, or does the job require calling? I understand the fear, trust me. It's definitely scary calling people you don't know and asking them questions. Your afraid you'll forget a question, ask a stupid one, or just mumble and stutter like a fool because you forgot everything you were going to say.
That's what happens to me. You, Mikey, will do fine. I'm almost certain of that. You seem like a guy who knows how to handle himself, this is nothing to you.:)

Thanks for your vote of confidence but I assure you this is not "nothing" for me. ;) I have gotten more and more anxious with calling or receiving calls from unknown people. A lot of the time I'll just let them ring out. If it's from a contact I know, it's okay, but otherwise it's a coin flip if I'll actually answer.

I do think I'll stutter and ask something stupid or not hear them completely and ask them to repeat it. :/

I didn't look for this job, either...my cousin told me about it and he told me to call. He told me this on January 26th...so it's been a month nearly and I still haven't called. ::(:

Meh, Im feeling very unproductive, especially lately. I feel like the last week I been at a stand still with recording anything. I been recovering from the flu the last few days but today I didn't have an excuse. I did nothing, I didn't even pick up my guitar. I spent a couple hours literally just laying in my bed staring at the ceiling, I didn't even realize what I was doing till way later. What a waste of a day

I'm busy as hell lately, I wish I wasn't such a huge procrastinater so I wouldn't have to do everything at the eleventh hour ugh!

I'm a big procrastinator, too, and I would be like you in this situation. Hopefully you get everything you want done. :)

You don't have anything to fear. You manage to hold up a job and have friends. You know how to talk to people. You do it all the time on here.
You, see, it's something you do all the time, and well, it's not gonna be any different on the phone. Make the call the next time you get a chance, Mikey. You'll probably charm them so much, they'll be your next best friend.;)

I won't be charming anybody. ::p: It's easy to talk here because I'm in front of a computer screen. Not as intimidating and I'm not badgering for work!

I will try to make the call tomorrow. I think I said the same thing yesterday. ;)

I don't blame for not wanting to do it. It does feel awkward calling someone up and asking them to wast there time on you because you want something. That's how it feels for me any way. I have horrible phobias of being in peoples and inconveniencing them. These kind of things are my worst nightmare.
Well, I wont badger you about it. Your a smart guy. You don't need me telling it's all right.
