I'm doing better, had a bad attack at the book store and all I wanted was to get out as fast as possible and all the exits I found were fire exists cuz I'd never been in there before. But I made it out and bawled haha.

I'm in so much pain right now. I went to bed really early last night because of my migraine. But now I've just woken up with an even worse one :( If I have this all day, I won't be able to do anything, and I have a lot I need to get done. I'm almost tempted to go the ER, the pain is so bad. But then again, I don't have my insurance yet! Ahhhh, what do I do? I haven't had one this bad for a while :(

Have you talked to a Doctor about taking a medication especially for migraines before?
I tried a few and found one that works most of the time.:)

What is it, WHAT IS IT???? Haha sorry. I'm pretty desperate. I've never gotten so many in my entire life so far. I was given a prescription for Imitrex, but I couldn't get it yet as I have no insurance at the moment :( Working on getting that fixed, but in the meantime..... ugh :(

oh well, try the Imitrex because that is fairly popular. Mine is also a prescription one so that is no good for you now as you say you don't have insurance yet :/
I don't live in America forgive my not understanding, can't you still get the prescription filled without insurance?

^^ Yes, she can, but only if she has just won the lottery (I think). Without insurance the full price is charged.

Actually Neurofen for Migraine, which can be bought without a prescription from supermarkets, works quite well. I have a relatively mild case though (but bad enough if you have ever had one).

ah, I see :/

...yes Neurofen is good for my minor headaches, but it's not strong enough to have any impact on the intense migraines I get.

I have migraines too, I used to have them several times a week, every week - now it´s more like once or twice a month.
Medication never helped me, it only takes the pain sometimes and it has so many weird side effects (like feeling numb and frozen in my face).
Chiropractic & Acupuncture helped me, I didn´t have migraines AT ALL for one whole year.

I feel horrible still, will probably feel worse tomorrow, and next week is when I will really be ill and have to bite the bullet.

On a more positive fight I have paid my insurance so I can fight and train In mma now, can't wait to get back to the gym after all this.

Reading this positive post and Saskia's positive post has made me smile, feeling rubbish myself so its nice to read something good and makes me look forward to the next good day too. Thanks guys :)

I'm so glad it made you smile, Twigglyy (-: let's make a positive world, well.. atleast a positive social phobia world  I hope so much we all get stronger everyday on this forum! :) But ofc, we all know the downsets.
But we also have our up's and we should remember those !! :)

Tired and cranky but content - late night after brilliant concert by The Cure, they played for and extra 40 mins. Have snuck out of the hotel for strong coffee and a dose of SPW in an internet cafe as the hotel wants to charge 55c per minute
COOL!. They are one of my favorite bands. In fact reading this has propelled me to play one of my tapes, yes tapes, of them now (4am in morning!). I hardly play music presently, with none on most days (too "violent" or sth for my nerves), so i welcome ANY opportunity for some good-quality music. Perfect for this cold miserable weather!. Xmas lights on ... its all go!

Edit:Uh oh, that tapes had it (making squeaking noises .. have to try & re-do that tape somehow), but i can play another Cure tape i have.

Yes Bluedays, hoddesdon is exactly right :/

Thanks for telling me, Nanita. I hope the medication works for me, but if not, I can always try alternative approaches. I suppose I could still try them even if the medication DOES work, because I get migraines a lot and I can only take the meds so many times a month.

IF they're getting worse and more constant definitely should see someone... and can always try alt approaches at the same time or whenever. You're on other meds could be side effect of one of those? Hope you get better.

As for moi, I feel better, despite the rainy weather. And still havent made a plan of action. But I have plenty of tiime lol.
