Ahh... you're completely right, Jewel - I'm sorry the sudden surge of comments made you feel that way and I'm SO glad you're keeping your photo up!
There's no reason to assume that people posting their photo are vain.
Some people can do it easier than others - and saying; 'only the beautiful people do it' is NOT something I want to see on a site filled with social phobics.
People are people.
Everyone has different standards.
Many of us struggle with image issues, low self esteem and NO one person is vain or incompetent for choosing to post a photo of themselves or not.
It may so happen that they post in a moment of bravery; their 'best picture' that they can find and it's SO easily to get embarrassed and take it down again with some of the comments that come afterward.
anyway-- I'm deleting the comments I deem as hurtful from this thread and will request that there are no more possibly hurtful or insulting comments.
