Do you have days when you have nothing to do?

it was my day off, today

i slept late, did some laundry, played with the dog, fixed the gate, washed dishes, brushed the cat, got bikes out for spring tuning, dropped off a bill payment, and wandered around Wal-Mart looking for toilet paper and deodorant

there's always something to do
Yeah, I agree here. When I'm bored I tend to find reasons to go to the shops, so it's also an excuse to listen to music on my iPod (something I would've done at home anyway), and get some exercise in by walking there rather than taking the car.

I'm actually out of mints. I need more. There, that's a reason to go.

You have it right, coyote. There's always something to do, even if there's nothing to do. I have to remember this.

The best way to get bored is to spend your day on the computer. I tested it many times. I don't know why we do this. We just sit in front of it when the day start, check our e-mails, check forums, go on youtube, google stuff, waiting for something to happen. But nothing ever happen here, and before we notice, the sun goes down, we didn't do anything, we were bored all day, and we have a headache.

You have a good point ...

I signed up for few classes this semester since I was a little overwhelmed last one. But now I just find myself endlessly bored, I mean... it's 7:47 a.m. and I have nothing to do at all lol.

Hey there,

It's a free day today, it's a national thing in holland, all people have no work or school today. But these days, when I have nothing to do, I find myself being bored, just staring at the computer screen, it sucks.

Do you have any tips how to fill my day?

I am downloading Anime, but is there anything more amusing

I crave manga. It started with Akira and Dominion Tank Police

Shadowrun

I start to worry when I have nothing to do! It's horrible! So there are a few things you can do, that do not have to cost much. Here are a few to help you through these days:

1.) Try out a new recipe that you've been meaning to try - you don't have to be a cook to do this! It could be something simple, like making brownies, cookies, etc.
2.) Go on a walk. You'd be amazed what good a walk can do you. Don't bring an iPod, and just listen to the street. Take the time to admire houses in your neighborhood, new buildings, people watch! Just don't go into a sketch area alone. I recommend doing this with a friend.
3.) If you are into video games, get a cheap one at the store, and play it with a friend. Try beating it together. It's a lot more fun with you can do it together.
4.) Have a movie marathon.
5.) Go to the mall and walk around. Shop look. You don't have to buy stuff.
6.) Go to the book store. You can sit there and read all day, without having to buy a damn thing.

I will let you know if I discover anything else new. I'm in the same boat as you, except mine is a little bit more long term. Good luck!

Yes, and I feel so frustrated and bored when I have nowhere to go - the day will be occupied by watching TV and I'll get the urge to just pig out, then I'll start getting paranoid about getting fat, and I'll feel really bad about myself the day after..

Sometimes though, in fact a lot of the time, I'll go for long walks in the nearby park, which is basically contiguous with the countryside so there is a lot to explore - I'll also take my camera with me and snap some photos of anything and everything.

Hey, I hope you had a nice day off, Falkor! :) Usually on my days off, or when I'm just feeling bored, I either read a book, read some webcomics, watch some new movies, catch up on tv shows, bake/cook and come up with recipes, download and listen to new music, play video games, spend even more time on the internet, the list goes on and on.

If I could, I would take one day per week and do absolutely nothing. Stay home, watch TV, watch a movie, play Xbox, etc...
Maybe I'm lazy, but I love those type of days and feel refreshed after.

There are countless things I could do, I just can't be bothered. I do just enough to keep me from going completely insane with boredom.

there is always something to do, except you have to search for something to do, sometimes its easy and other day it's hard.
