My hometown I lived in only had 1,000 people or so. So no, there was nothing to do but sit in front of the Merk and watch the road go by. I live in Portland now though tons to do, but it's better with friends. Friends I do not have. Lol.

New York is boring? That's not what I've heard
^ You're probably thinking of NYC. ::p: Yeah I live no where near NYC. I live in the western part of the state, in the middle of nowhere.

^ The town I live in currently only has about 1500 people, and of course there's nothing to do. :p

Oops! Sorry :D

But I'm sure that you will find something interesting if you really want to do something :)

spent most of my best years in new york.

lived in kings park, a 30 minute train ride from the quiet residential suburbs into the heart of the city. I went into the city just about everyday with no real agenda, just explored, did volunteer work, signed up for random classes that taught points of interest. everything just flowed.

and when all was done for the day, caught a train back home and collapsed face first into a quiet bed.

I think videogames are a waste of time. Okay, forums can be too, but you get to meet all sorts of fascinating people and learn all sorts of interesting things!

Maybe life is a videogame, and our conversations are being observed by a gamer. This is how I feel anyway. Like nothing is real. Like playing a game is the same thing as meeting people.

And Fallout New Vegas is awesome, but I suck so much at it. I get stuck on some quests for DAYS trying to find the right ways to get around packs of enemies or how to kill them without dying or running out of ammo.

I'd rather watch TV in some form or another, than to go out and "live"

The only thing I like doing where I live is going up on dartmoor and going for a walk as not many people go there. Most of my day is spent in front of the TV and computer.

There ain't much to do where I live theres a few pubs which I don't go to and a few shops. Where I live is fairly isolated it takes an hour by bus to go into a busy city center where theres shopping center loads of pubs and clubs which I don't go to as its not my sort of thing.

the place i live in is very boring

Thankfully not. I live very close to Dublin City Centre so there is always stuff to challenge me in coping with my SA...............now that it has improved somewhat I am always doing stuff.
In the morning I will be heading to see a classic car show in Dublin and in the afternoon I go to a big hurling game ( my anxiety is likely to peak at the match and it really will depend on the people I end up sitting beside.
Normally I go to the park or catch a bus to the nearest beach where I can avoid the crowds and have some "me time"

Actually... It's not that there's nothing to do. I kinda feel like there's noone to do anything with. Like everything I can think of would just feel a bit... Dull if someone wasnt acompanying me, outside.

There are things to do here, but with no car, no friends and no interest I rather stay home. Every time i force myself outside i get bored to death, i only go when i feel like it

I disagree with videogames being a waste of time, when i play them i feel happy most of the time and that is all what matters to me.

The only real places to do anything are shopping malls and I rather stay away from them. There is a place nearby me, a real place where people meet up and eat out and basically socialize. I just drive past it, kinda wondering what I'm missing out on (if indeed I am). So yeah there's nothing much for me to do.

Actually there are many events/places around my area I'd like to check out and things I want to try but 1) it would only be fun if you go with friends which I don't have and/or 2) it requires money.
Funny I know someday I'll look back and regret not doing anything but even that is not enough to motivate me at the moment. :(

There is not much were i live and what there is costs money. I enjoy going for walks if i can get away from people I went for a walk on sunday to a park bad idea lots of people were there as it was a nice day. So i went back along the canal were i saw only a few people. In a couple of weeks the schools break up for the sumer holidays and it will be really hard finding anywere without kids. There will be lots of events over the next 6 weeks but for families and i do not have one.

not really - for me i like to spend time outside, especially if the weather is nice. I suppose i am just lucky that where i live is about an hours drive away from the beautiful lake District in northern England. I love spending time there. My social anxiety affects me less when i spend time outside because my anxiety is heightened by being inside actually.
