For a what if question, one that is kind of not realistic at all but interesting to see results for, if you had the choice would you either wait 3 months to get into a relationship with someone who was outgoing and attractive, or if you could wait a year to go out with someone who was socially phobic like you and was attractive.. which one would you choose?. UPDATE: And I want to mention that I meant waiting 3 months, or 1 year without anything happening the the beginning. I mean being single for 3 months, or 1 year, for either or.

I would wait any amount of time to have a relationship with a social phobic.
I would never want to have a relationship with someone who was "outgoing".

There are people without social phobia who prefer a quiet life.

1 year, probably. But it's difficult to say when it's a hypothetical person we're talking about because it really would depend on the person. I'd probably be more compatible with a socially phobic person, but then again I could meet a really outgoing person who I just clicked with.

I would wait all the years necessary being single and alone if that means I'll be with my perfect match.

I would wait a year for someone who is the opposite! Going for an SA person would either be a surrender or enabler, maybe a comfort thing at best. It is a phobia after all, nobody goes looking for one.

I'd like to be healthy and able to be myself and then find someone who is the same, or someone who is confident enough to help me break out of my shell a bit. No treading water, no giving up, no going backwards.

I would need to carefully consider whether entering into a relationship would improve my life, which is as uncomplicated as it has ever been.

I am in a relationship with an outgoing now, and its hard. He is miserable if we stay in, i am miserable if we go out. He already cheated on me once, i know its just a matter of time now before he finds someone '''bubbly'' to be with. How i loathe that word.

Yeah, "bubbly" makes them sound like they're frothing at the mouth or something.
