  • Also, my cerebral palsy is start to noticeably worsen. I'm feeling more pain in my hips than I've ever done previously. As result I've not been sleeping that well if at all. So... y'know...? Here's hoping I get those multiple surgeries as soon as.

So between all that; plus attending 3 music gigs within weeks of each other, getting ready for the Edinburgh Fringe again this year - (got a nearly a whole months of shows I'll be seeing there). And still trying to clear stuff outta the house, I've not really had a chance to just relax.

Anyway, thanks for messaging me again. Sorry, I didn't get around to replying to ya sooner. But I'll respond to yer previous messages eventually.
Hiya Rans. Sorry, I've not been in touch lately, pal.

Just been feelin' really knackered and depressed as of late. Just can't seem to focus on anything. Plus, it's kinda hard to get and keep yerself motivated when ye struggle with depression and anxiety. I've kinda gave up on trying to make my family understand my situation and current struggles. Because they only hear what they want to, and always make it about them. As opposed to seeing how much of struggle is for me just getting up in the morning.

Got my sister coming to visit at the end of the month. Which, if last time's anything to go by, she make a unsubtle attempt at humour by insulting my personal tastes and wonder why I never really talk much. As all my family do. But that's just what ye put up with when yer the youngest sibling.
Haven't done anything special lately, just self-studying pretty much. What about you?
I block people out too - or just act like I'm on my phone. I know it's such a rude thing to do, but when I'm really anxious, I can't help it :/
I'm not fond of labels and feel like people are so much more than that, you know? Just because you like something that puts you in a group doesn't mean that you can't like something else from another group. I feel like it puts pressure on people to act a certain way too. Did you have a lot of friends in school before becoming a loner?

All My Life is a fun one to sing in the shower. If you have a terrible singing voice like me, the water drowns you out lol.
Thankfully I never made any videos of myself lol. I just had an embarrassing MySpace profile like everyone else haha.
In high school I was part of the band geek crowd, but even then I felt like a loner. I would listen to music almost constantly and only chime in when I had something funny to say. I like to be the funny one; making people laugh makes me happy. My humor is a little off or too dark sometimes, though. I like to be an observer- I have been that way my whole life. I remember watching a video of myself at age 6/7 just quietly sitting there, watching everyone/everything.
How about you? Were you in any groups in high school?

I will have to check it out sometime :)
I love Youtube; there are a lot of stupid videos, but there are a lot of really great ones too.

My favorite Foo Fighters songs are:
    The Pretender
    Everlong
    All My Life
    Learn To Fly
I haven't really listened to much Alice In Chains, but that was pretty good :)

I remember when I actually used to listen to rap/pop- I think I owned a majority of the 'NOW That's What I Call Music' CDs LOL. Boy am I glad I discovered metal; it is infinitely better.
I only blasted my music when I lived alone in a house- that was the life haha.
I actually tried not to let other people influence me when I was younger, I really felt a strong desire to be my own person. I made some very questionable fashion choices back in those days lol, but I was being me and I'm proud of that.
I think it's important to stay open minded with music. I remember I went through a phase in high school where I only would listen to metal and nothing else. I realized, though, that listening to different music is so much better. In the years since, I have discovered so really cool stuff :)
Deftones is ethereal. I love a lot of their songs. The sound of the instruments and Chino's voice <3
I am embarrassed to admit I am a child of the 80's so I my favourite music is from the late 70's and first half of the 80's. :shyness: I don't really have favourite modern style in particular, I like everything modern, except rap and heavy metal, lol. So what type of music do you like?
I feel more comfortable going out during the day but my friends only go out at night. There are also more public transports during the day so it's easier to leave, at night there's only one bus per hour.

As for sports, I never liked watching motorised sports. I like playing them occasionally on consoles/computer, but I find it boring to watch. I would also be too afraid to do them for real.

I have watched a few football (soccer) matches at the stadium when my friends got me in for free. Now I don't care much about soccer and have started watching basketball, but I never watched a match at a stadium. I have been following the NBA for the past couple of years, and I want to start following the portuguese league this year since the local team made it to the main division, but it's harder to follow this league because most games aren't on TV.
A few would be Deftones, Silversunpicks, Enigma, Megaherz, Chambao... A little of different things a like. Even just those few don't really say enough of what I like.
I graduated last week. I seem to be doing alright, but still getting the hang of things. How have you been?
Sure, The Picture of Dorian Gray and The Importance of Being Earnest are very good in my opinion. As per poems La Fuite de la Lune is worth looking at. Agreed, reading is very enjoyable! It's been very important to me in my isolation period.
It was pretty hot a week or two ago (above 30ºC), but it is better now (around 20ºC). It gets a bit colder at night (15ºC). I went out at night twice already this week, but it wasn't because of the weather.

Good weather doesn't make me want to go out, but it definitely gets me motivated to get things done.
Hi Ransford, the name was inspired by Oscar Wilde's poem 'Requiescat'. Been an avid reader of Wilde since a child. What kind of poetry do you like to write?
Hello :) No unfortunately he is not my dog, although I would love to have a dog like him! I just used the pic because I'm sure I have that expression on my face quite often, lol
"Hi.I think Songs mean different things to each individual. Some songwriters leave it up to the listener to attach what other meaning they want to a song. Some songs are clearly written about specific things and the writer is willing to explain the meaning"

That's the great thing about song lyrics, everybody has a different interpretation.

Didnae expect you to buy an Alice In Chains album based of me just making a mere mention of that Alterbridge song having a similar vibe to them. But cool, nonetheless.

I haven't done much travelling in the UK or overseas. Aside from visiting my uncle in London back when I was about 8 or 9 years old. Oh! And the years I went to both the Reading and Leeds festivals. But that's about it, really.
