How good are you at walking on ice with out sliping and falling down and hurting yourself ?

Random question... and in the "Social Anxiety Medication" thread, haha. What made you ask this?

To answer your question, I am usually pretty bad at it. I can walk over an icy patch on the sidewalk but I'm really nervous and I have slipped a few times.

In middle school I slipped on a patch of black ice and smacked one side of my jaw on the pavement and couldn't eat breakfast that morning. It was so painful. I didn't do any permanent damage as far as I know, though.

I ask this because it starting to get cooled where I am from . I always get panic attack when I know I have to walk over ice. But I feel like the only person in the world who get nerous about walking over ice.

sometimes there is snow in the freezer at the mexican grocery stores. i like to touch it.

I though you meant it in the metaphorical sense, like a 'walking on eggshells' sort of thing , I didn't realise you meant it so literally ahaha

well to answer your questions I am terrible at walking on ice and extremely nervous. I'm a clumsy enough walker without any obstacles lol

My dog ran out onto the frozen river this morning. I watched in horror as he lost his footing and slid out toward the middle slushy parts. I'm doubly glad he didn't fall in because I probably would have fallen in too just trying to save him. Pretty much my worst fear ever.

Be careful on the ice, everyone!

yeah, it is dangerous - i've fallen and been hurt more times than i care to remember - i probably couldn't remember if i tried due to all the traumatic brain injuries anyway

seriously, get some of these ice cleats - you just slip them on and off - keep a pair by your door and a pair in your car - they really work:

get a pair of these things - i have worn them for years:

I notice when my anxiety is really high, the thought of walking or driving on icy roads is really frightening to me.
