The lack of good hygiene, as in showers can have a direct correlation to mental wellness. At least for me it does... starting your day with a cool shower can set the mood for a more uplifting mood. Your body is refreshed and clean. Maybe that's why the topic came up? As mundane as it is to shower daily... its one thing that gets you out of bed even when you can't even fathom why you'd want to...

You are super brave. ;o I've had to do this when my heating failed, and it it's... harsh. Just, so harsh. ;x

It was very harsh, but hot water was down for more than a week and I had no other choice, except warming the water up but I didn´t want to bother.

I was actually showering in cold water all the time on my travels in Latin America and India.. but these are usually quite hot so it wasn´t much of a problem.

Sorry.. I know I kinda rambled in that post. Im trying to concentrate on spreading nutella on a cookie (which is amazing) and sorting my thoughts.

If i have work or have to go somewhere then I shower in the morning. If I don't have to go anywhere then I can go days without one.

I run almost everyday, up to 80km a week, sometimes in high heat and humidity, and I need to shower often.

I was brought up to shower to everyday.
So it is just a normal habit for me. I can't imagine going a day without a shower. :idontknow:

Why would staying indoors have to do with keeping yourself clean? I don't see how it relates to it.

yeah your actually supposed to let a little oil build up on your hair naturally b/c it's good for it ..and for me shampoo strips my cuticles dry...

yep, that's how it is for me. i wash my hair every 3 to 4 days. it's working for me. i'm actually less dandruffy.

I want to do it every other day at least. But more often then not I'm forced into doing it even less then once a week. To- and over, the point where I feel uncomfortable because of it.

It's quite humiliating, actually. Especially since there's almost always strangers in the house. Often I can't even hop into the kitchen for coffee or something because of it..

Once a day (twice in the summer) unless I'm feeling depressed and don't have to step outside. I've gone 3-4 days without bathing at the most..
