How are you feeling?

I bought a cherry Tasty Cake and it almost made me sick. I loved those things as a kid, what happened?

I think that many of those packaged baked goods are worse now. I'm working my way through a box of the new Hostess cupcakes and they now have a medicinal taste and some are dried out. These things used to be good!

I've always hated Tasty Kake, but I tried them in 2008 or so. I'll bet they were good once upon a time, but now they taste weird and they're dry.

You're right, a lot of those snack cakes have changed quite a bit. Seems like most junk food has, actually.

And now I'm craving cake and potato chips. At the same time.

Boss-speak . . . that's some scary stuff right there. Fingers crossed for ya, Mikey.

If it was something bad they likely wouldn't say anything in advance. Still, wishing you good luck
Thanks, guys! Actually, this might benefit me more than anything. I'm apparently not losing time, but getting less work. So...less work to do in the same amount of time given? Hell yes.

I'm feeling exhausted. Luckily it's my day off, but I have some unavoidable chores to do today and I'm wondering where I will find the strength to do them.

I had to call off of work today because of the snow. I told a small lie about how many times I attempted to call the store (I said three or four, it was only two). They don't have a @($*ing answering machine, so it's hard to get a hold of anyone, especially at 4AM when you get a message saying, "We're sorry, the store is closed..." I ended up texting one of my bosses, then falling asleep. She questioned me about it later and I lied a little more. It seems to be all good (I've been very honest with them, so they shouldn't have any reason to doubt me), but I feel funky. I love my job, but this place is bringing out my old bad habits again. My anxiety and paranoia has risen and I'm back to acting like a doormat for everyone else to walk on.
The snowstorm is making Australian news, so I don't think that you're lying, saying you can't go to work. However, if you can feel old habits coming out again, why do you think this is happening? You love your job, but is there anything about it that's causing you to become panicky again? You're not going to quit your job, I hope?

I'm feeling loathsome and pathetic. I really am one seriously ****ed up human being. I should not be allowed to live.
Why do you say this? What's going on?

Adulthood. The same thing that makes you not want to lick the frosting off of cake
I'm 27 and I would totally still do this if it were socially acceptable. :D

We don't get Hostess products in Australia, but I'm still waiting for a kind American to send them to me one day. I love Hostess products, and I hope the new incarnation is the same and not medicine-like.

I just got out of bed and had something to eat finally, so I didn't accomplish anything except some hard-core relaxation today. :)

I do, however, have one task that absolutely cannot wait another day, so now that I'm fed and rested I will go take care of that now...

You work a lot, so I don't blame you for this. Rest when you need to. Good luck with your one task. :)

Sounds like a good thing to me! No, I'm not quitting. It's too important to me. I can just feel that pressure I put on myself to be the best rising daily. I gotta figure out how to quell it.

You will quell it because your job is important to you. That will be enough to keep you going, and to understand how far you've come already. :)

I'm so angry at myself, I had a test today but had the wrong date in my calendar and when I noticed I couldn't make it in time anymore, but I may have the best luck ever because I 'unsubscribed' myself from that test 1 minute before the test started and it somehow got approved, I may have another chance now.

Cozy, wish I could snuggle with my puppy right now but she's busy with her siblings. She's exhausted me earlier today when I was trying to have some alone time. Damn extroverts you can never find them when you need them. :)
