Vacation 2/10. Terrible. I gave it a 2 because Christina Applegate is in it. These remakes are getting annoying. For a good laugh watch any of the original Vacation movies. It was out last year but I just saw it recently. I wish I didn't bother.

Lately I've downloaded a movie called Batman vs Superman, but turns out, it was a porn parody, I didn't pay attention when downloading it, they didn't even bother to change its name...

Didn't really watch that rubbish, but I guess I'll give it a 8/10, the actress was cute :kickingmyself:

I like how you actually rated it despite being a parody. Though, yer not missing much the actual Batman vs Superman isn't great. Well, I didn't think much of it, Ben Afflect was good, but that about it for me.

I just watched this...

:eek:mg: Sorry ladies, but this remake is

I only laughed twice, and both times were at Chris Hemsworth. Though, character was so stupid he became hysterically funny. The rest were just dumb as f**k. And the dialogue wus feckin' shite as well. As were the cameos. I mean, Ozzy Osbourne. And I thought The Osbournes reality TV series was his lowest career point.

And plot holes you could drive a feckin' bus through.

The main villain is an unlikeable bullied nerd who want to get back at those who picked on. Basically, Paul Feig channeling his past experiences into a character. Though, everyone is unlikeable in this new Ghostbuster movie to a degree. Kate McKinnon is probably the likeable character of the 4 women. Mellssa McCarthy as Abby... Gawd! What a smug c*nt of a character.

The men get treat like shit, no surprises there.

Oh, and a slight spoiler: Early on in the film within the first 10 minutes, there's a scene between Charles Dance's character and Kristen Wiig's character where it was implied she dressed to sexually, and she's wearing a f**kin' suit and long skirt and heels... Huh?!

The actresses were actually fine, the script was the real letdown. I got the feeling that the table read for the script had a lotta fake laughter going, with exception of Chris Hemsworth, who delivers a line that genuine made laugh-out-loud at one point.

Kinda apt that the Ecto-1 is a hearse. There's were bit in the trailer that got left out of the final edit.

Worth seeing if yer curious to know whether it as bad as the initial trailers made it seem, but it's definitely not as great as critics would have ya believe. I think they might be afraid to be overly negative for fear of feminists callin' 'em sexist. Since anyone critical of the movie before it release were all labelled as such.

Again, that I could be me being biased in my opinion of it. Since I'm a bloke, and actually remember watch the original Ghostbusters movies and cartoons when I was a kid.

Sorry this was a long, rambling post.

I felt the same. Though, I gave 1.5/10. Ed Helms was utterly cringe-worthy. Though, much like the new Ghostbusters, I thought that scene with Chris Hemsworth was pretty funny.

But overall, yeah, watch the original Vacation movies.

Johnny English. It had Rowan Atkinson in it and basically he was a spy who screwed up a lot. It made me laugh at a lot of scenes, it wasn't a master piece but it made me laugh so I'd say 7/10.

Eight Days A Week.

Enjoyable movie and probably the best approximation most of us will ever get to being at a live Beatles show. What comes across well is how good natured they were in the early days. The pre-movie publicity over-states how much new material there is, the cleaned up footage looks good, but most of it has been seen before. The soundtrack troubled me a little, I thought they took a few liberties, adding overdubs to their live performances in some places, which made the whole soundtrack a little less authentic & convincing. But a fun movie overall, 78%.

The Corpse Bride. I'm bad at giving specific star or numeric ratings, so let's just see what happens.

*Spoilers below*

I was digging The Corpse Bride until the movie went against it's own themes.

Victor assumes he can't be with the dead girl. "I barely know her." But he barely knows the living girl either. He then learns that he and the dead girl are a good match. Think, for example, about how she can also play piano. So it's okay for things not to go according to plan. He's found a better match even if it wasn't the way he'd hoped or how he planned.

...But then he ends up with the living girl anyway. I don't buy that. I think this goes against where the film was going thematically. He had learned to see past his first impression and go with the flow even if it's not according to plan but then he goes back the the first girl. It's as if they didn't think they could get away with ending a movie with the protagonist killing himself to marry a corpse so they opted for a traditional ending even though everything else about the film was going the other direction.

I've only just seen the movie for the first time so I won't be dogmatic about this. Feel free to show me the movie from another angle! If I'm wrong then perhaps a re-watch is warranted. And I love going back and seeing things differently.

EDIT: I mean, yeah, it was bad for the dead girl to hold him captive, to expect him to honor an accidental marriage. So it's good that she grew willing to let him go. But by the end he was actually into her.

And now I think I'll watch Mommy by Xavier Dolan. I've already seen it and it's wonderful too. I mean, who doesn't like Xavier Dolan, huh?

You want to know how I got these scars?
Oh I've watched this one recently, it was wonderful.
I've played WOW for quite sometime, yet I've discovered so many things after watching the movie. There would be a sequel, it seems.

Yes I'm thinking that too. I sure hope they make it all the way up to Arthas!
