Post your art

I made this a week ago, it was for someone I met on this site some years ago :)

I've never been too fond of the latest iteration of my avatar - it's crooked and was made when my heart wasn't into it. It has always bugged me.

So to replace that it, I've rendered the new one in 3D. The fur was a lot of work. So much combing. :I

Saw a thread on another forum about drawing anime characters other people posted, so I gave it a shot and tried one that seemed easy.

Here's the result:

Some guy said the eyes I drew had soul.

Anyway, any tips on what to do to learn to draw stuff like this from imagination, instead of copying it?

I find that putting on some music as well as drawing at night help boost creative inspiration.

Nice work,Ithior!

Hrm,usually when I draw and don't set out to draw something specific,I kind of just start doodling and drawing shapes and something will come to me.

My problem is that I haven't studied anything about perspective, anatomy or facial features so when I have to draw something from imagination, I have no knowledge to help me draw.

Also, your sculpt looks a bit creepy but also very realistic.

Anyway, here's another copy I did before lunch:

Music is definitely a vehicle for creativity. I usually stick with instrumentals or vocals; anything with lyrics is just too distracting.

So I like to draw...apparently ...I'm 29 and I didn't know. This is the first person/anything I've drawn and I drew this about a month ago watchin telly

EDIT: I'm not a big SJP fan btw she was just a random celebrity that I saw a pic of and thought I'd try draw.
^That is good for a first drawing, joule. I am curious, why do you thing it has taken this far along in your life for you to discover that you like drawing?
