I believe this forum is being monitored

I get too many disturbing psychologist phone calls asking repeatedly if I live alone, asking over & over if my name is something else... Mark? Neil? Nick?

How long have I been living alone? How many loans do I have?? Once I answer the questions properly and politely. I just get another batch or the same questions again, such as which planet do I live on..? :rolleyes: :eek:
::(:

That's the response I was hoping for. THANKS!

Things might be different between countries

If you, one person, involved in this website, isn't getting the grief I get, that's great news.

Hmm. Haven't gotten any phone calls or anything, but I did get a message in my inbox from some Russian dude who knew my name (but spelled it wrong), saying he found my "dirty" pictures on some Russian photo site :rolleyes: Obviously it was spam, but it still creeps me out that he knew my name.

I haven't gotten a peep from anything related to this site.

I sure hope I don't get anything from here. I don't like being sold stuff. If anyone calls me with a sales attempt the call ends very quickly. If I want to buy something, it will be because I thought of the idea on my own and chose to purchase a product independently.

Everything you do on the Internet is being monitored at all times, you can take that for granted. Every web search, every page access, every email, every online account, every "anonymous" online comment, every photo/video upload, everything.

Who's Google sharing your search history with?

Big changes coming... wonder what else our superiors will decide to make a matter of public record?

This is why Google is evil... :p

People scoff when you say you are wary of posting certain things on the Internet, or you are afraid of your information being collected by certain groups, like it's all just a laughable theory that tinfoil hat-wearers like to entertain. Well, we all know there is some truth to it. No, they probably aren't focusing specifically on ME or YOU, but the fact that they have access to so much private information - just think about how it's going to change everything, how it already is. There will eventually be no privacy. I guarantee it. Not on the Internet, not in real life. Maybe not within the next 50 years, but at least the next 100 or 150. I think there is plenty of legitimate reason to be concerned and even "paranoid".

Report it and don't give away any personal information. I HIGHLY doubt it has to do with the internet, I think someone might be harrassing you.

Did you post personal information on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social networking sites? I would change my privacy settings immediately.

Another possibility is someone could be trying to steal your identity. Those so-called "psychologists" who have been calling you may not be actual doctors. If possible, verify their credentials the next time they call you and ask how they got your number. Just be careful with what you reveal online and offline.

I'm afraid no one can get a phone number from your IP address, it only registers the exchange you used and nothing more specific.
