So I thinking of having my computer taking away from me by my sister for about 3 to 4 weeks (and possibly more) because I keep spending all my time on it and I have zero control over it.
I have been living online for 11 years and I can see how it took a toll on my health: wrist issues, arm, neck, back, chest pain, stiff knees, poor posture, porn addiction, isolation. My right arm is often so much in pain that I have to use my left arm to let it rest. Doctors already warn me but I never listen. Using a mouse and a keyboard all day long almost everyday is just not worth sacrificing my body.
I will still access to internet, but from my phone, my ps3 or my parent's computer. It will help me limit the time I spend online without losing my mind. My phone as a decent browser and I'm usually on my bed when I use it, I doubt I could spend the whole day using it cause it's not the fastest thing around. The ps3 browser isn't that great and don't see myself using it much or at all. I won't be using my parent's computer much since I don't want to raise any suspicion on their part. Plus there is almost always someone near the computer so I won't be able to watch inappropriate things.
The only times I can ask for my computer is when there is a wrestling pay per view.
It's most likely gonna be the hardest thing I ever have to do and i see a lot of frustrating days ahead, but the goal of this is to let my body heal and relax. I also want to try to do 90 days like that. Hopefully I'll develop a few good habits along the ways
