A girl with social anxiety on stage.

Hey ! ^^

My mom had a band performance ( she's in a band) and she asked me on stage.
I was freakkin' nervous but i did it ! , you can see in this video how anxious i am.. But I did my best =)
You can see i'm not moving .. i was freezing XD
and sometimes you can hear my nerves in my voice :$
I just wanted to share this video.. to let you see that you can beat it ^^
But i didn't overcome SA. I still have awkward social situations..
You see.. I'm a very timid and shy person..
But I'm glad i did this on stage, yay !

Here's the vid ( the video will appear soon.. there's a spot in the beginning)

YouTube - A girl with Social Anxiety on Stage.

Please let me know what u think!

Much Love,

I can't see the vid yet cause I'm at work. But I give you props for even attempting to get on stage in front of people.

Wow, pretty kool. I admire your courage! I don't know if that was the case for you but sometimes when you're on stage you can't see the faces of the people in the audience because of the lighting. That helps a little =)

If you can do that once, you can do it a 1000 times over, i have checked your other videos, you should really consider a career as a singer, having the voice is one thing but you can clearly see that you have the passion. Don't let SA tell you what you can and can't do

Thank you all so much!:)
You know I've had a panic attack before the performance.. , so my mom nd dad were really proud of me.. soo thats something ive never did before.. Just get out of anxiety step into a cage of lions.. It went great!
And although i was really lookin' scared, people were applauding me.. and that was so great feeling!

thats great Saskia, you sound fantastic :) Getting on stage is so tough when youre not used to it.
I wish the camera hadnt distorted you mother so much hehe

I hope you get a band of your own some day. I've been on stage a bunch of times myself with various bands, mostly bass and backup vocals, guitar too. I'll always be concentrating on playing my best, and enjoing it - people will always tell me what a statue I am on scene afterwards though. Im always anxious and it doesn't do much for my SP to do it, but I have fun and it boosts my confidence.

I wish I had musicians in my family, Ive always been tense around my parents and them lacking any musicality and not caring very much about it, makes it hard for me

Like I said before, I admire you for that. If I was in the same situation, I would just be outside or on the toilet, "by accident" offcourse.::p:

That's exactly how you should fight it! Take every oppertunity you get to throw yourself at it. The more you fear it, the more you need to attempt it.

You were great. Very cute and I would say you have nothing to worry about. You seemed perfectly normalt to me.

Freddy Mercury of Queen was extremly shy too, probably SA. He would almost never give interviews.
