Early morning rides today 100kms from home on 2 tracks. First track was tacky from all the rain that has been falling and was super fast. I then drove 15 km's to another trail. I rode the longer trail for the first time......a fairly serious climb that had my pulse up to 160bpm for probably 5-7 minutes. All up I rode about 40km's. Beautiful weather. Came home and stretched. Feeling good.

8km Started early. The light on Coffs Creek was green, gold and brown and still with small ripples on the surface. My first run in nearly a week. I haven't lost all fitness.

Saturday Forsyth Park 10.4km 47:53 (5:03, 4:41, 4:34, 4:29, 4:33, 4:34, 4:35, 4:36, 4:33, 4:34 + 1:37 @ 4:09) I woke up early on a Saturday for a change, and got a run in early. Cricket season has started and a junior game was in progress. I had to side step batsmen doing hit-up practice. The away side had set up a tent in the boundary. The stench of sun cream was strong. The home side sheltered under the facilities block. "Jimmy, another 2 overs and then put Billy on," the coach instructed. Other parents sat under the shelter of trees around the ground. There was goal keeping training going on in one corner of the ground. A coach was showing a youngster some throwing and diving techniques and another man was filming him. I startled a flock of glossy Ibis into flight. An agitated plover flew off at my approach. At bout 7km the run started to bite, but for the amount of training I have been doing it wasn't too bad.

Got off my lazy duff and ran a mile yesterday, then did an hour of yoga. I'm looking forward to getting back into an exercise routine. It does a mind good.

My town is too small to actually go anywhere on bike, so I got a bike trainer. My problem is staying motivated :p

10km 52:27. Slowed down by a guy asking instructions to a local coffee shop, had a run in with a person with their dog off the leash, which was getting under my feet, a trip hazard.

I really do feel better when I am running. I'm getting some motivation back. Two days in a row.

I am really aching today. I have been walking the dog in snow boots every day, plus doing lots of yoga. My shins are killing me!

Haven't exercised much in a long time. My sleep has been too low in quality and I've been too tired. But I've been better lately and have been getting back to exercising.

Today just 20 minutes of light cycling. Once I've fully recuperated from my last workout, I will get into a couple more days of strength training.

I would love to exercise more. Just need to get over the fear of people driving by laughing at me as I cycle or run.

Don't worry Gieky, don't let anyone stop you, exercise for yourself, and have the last laugh on those who might criticise by being fit.
