oh leah you know people are going to complement you, you would have to be ****ed not see that you look good and clearly you look feminine.:I'm female and looking at this in a completely un baised way I agree and disagree. I don't necessarily think females without makeup look like males (look at my picture in my profile neither have makeup and I don't think I look like a guy although feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) but it does make them (or er us) look more... human and therefore more approachable. Although in all reality I buzzed my head when I was in highschool (not smart I know) and it is pretty easy for a girl to look like a guy with the right cloths and hair when they wear no makeup.
Here I posted a pic of me, put it to a vote, look like a man or just more approachable? Feel free to be honest I don't really care anymore what people think about me. (sorry pic is so big I don't know how to shrink it T-T )

i have a couple of friends that are girls who don't wear make up unless its a formal event ...i just find them more down to earth and happy in their skin for some reason, it doesn't mean girls that wear make up arn't down to earth but make up is an attempt to gloss up ones natural face, you could liken it to a man that wears a hair piece, its the same concept except make up is more popular ...it actually does kind of bother me a little ....as silly as that sounds. it shouldn't but when girls overload their face with maskara and gloss it just seems a bit tacky. small amounts look fine.

I'm interested in knowing if the OP thinks that women who are naturally very attractive who chose to not wear makeup are also less threatening.
Are you less threatened by the fact that lack of makeup makes one less attractive per se, or that lack of makeup means they don't bother that much with looks and hence won't look for the same in the opposite sex?

The theory of this thread can apply to both sexes. It has reminded me of the fact that I find men dressed in the full formal business suit/tie make me nervous (therefore less approachable). I find it even more difficult to talk to a man wearing this, than a guy in jeans and t-shirt.
Once I was attending a compulsory break-up party for a short course I did years ago, and the head of the training company came over and started talking to me and the lady next to me.
After a minute or so, the man says "Do I make you nervous"?..........
So I guess I have the same problem finding a guy less approachable if he is wearing a formal suit/tie, that you have with a girl wearing make up.
Yeah, the natural look has many benefits it also goes back to our animalistic ways although I will never have it for myself MandyMouse does make a good point. I, like it when Troy’s hair is all a mess as oppose to when it’s all groomed, what can I say I am a feral at heart.

Yes I have watched that before one time I couldn't get to sleep and I think they look a lot better after they toned down with the makeup. The presenter was quite nice looking as well.
