Right so im 17 and i suffer from quite server social anxiety and I have no social life, the only way I can even approach a girl is when I'm so drunk I don't remember anything. I have tried therapy to help with my depression aswell. I'm not overweight and I wouldn't call myself un attractive but I have only had one girlfriend and she was only going out with me so I would lend her money.

Please help!!!!!!!!

In granny's room behind the clock.

Have to break it to you, nlockwood. You have to get out and about. Not just to pubs, bars but to parks, malls, meetup groups. You will never really find anyone long lasting in a bar.

You're not overweight, you find yourself attractive, focus on those. You are a good person and deserve to share your qualities.

If you're looking for a final answer to solve your meeting girls puzzle, there isn't one. You need to start doing what you want to do and make you happy. No one else can do that for you. While you're busy making you happy there will be ample opportunities to meet lots of people.

It's not rocket science. Pacific has a a pretty good idea.
Don't place women on pedestals.

I physically cannot talk to strangers, I can barely speak to family members

Girls being strangers as much as guys, if you physically can't talk to anyone, it's not going well. Maybe you should focus on that problem for now, and keep the girlfriend project for later ?

What Pacific said.
This is what you need to do nlock.

Focus on finding friends like you. Friends generate girls

To cure your anxiety, sign up for yoga classes. You will be surprised how much your anxiety has to do with bad circulation. Do it bro!

Yeah, this is what I'm thinking, too.

nlock, it's not easy to meet girls, but if you physically can't talk to strangers, then that's a bad sign. Try therapy to cure that and you'll be able to chat to strangers. Even female strangers. 😉

It sounds like you need professional help.

I agree. Rocket science is child's play compared to speaking to women. 😀

Good advice. My goal is conservations with the general public that don't end in tears for me. Or being screamed at. Or being called names.

To be honest hun I think you should be working on yourself first, someone may well come along as you're doing so.

Meeting girls isn't the problem, the scavenge is meeting compatible girls.

I struggle with this to what people don`t realize is their two parts to this problem. is it blankness or fear . blankness mean your having trouble putting together words that you think might grab people attention. which mean even if you where relax you still will not be able to building a good conversation. or is it fear mean your just terrified you feel this force that holding you back.
