What's worse: no friends or no partner?

I was thinking about this again...
I think it depends where you are with yourself and where you are in life.

If you are young like me i think having no friends would be worse. If you are older then maybe having no partner would be worse. Like think about when you are really old, i would want to be with my partner more than friends... Just my opinion...

I want both and hope to have both at some stage!!

friends, trust me... having nobody to hang with, nobody to share thoughts or feelings, nobody to vent to, hang out with, feeling all alone, trapped with yourself, which gives you too much time to think. i never had a girlfriend or partner and im 27. but if i didn't have the internet friends i have no id surely be sinking and drowning in a depression, friends keep you afloat, you can live without no partner or being single

I have a partner, and no friends. It's a living hell.

When you start having relationship problems with the one person in your life, it is VERY hard to find a sense of support.

I would trade it for a healthy group of friends, anyday.

...but isn't a partner still a friend? I suppose I would choose to have a partner because that way I will have both a partner and a friend.

No friends is worse. Friends are more dependable. Most intimate relationships end, but friends usually tend to last longer, and friends means you have more than one person to be friends with.
