Yes, I agree that there could be alien life out there - even though we cannot see it, like the idea of god, we cannot prove it. But we can rule out what's more likely. We think we've found what could be earth type planets, so it could support some form of life. With god, we don't know what to look for, because here on earth we have a good understand of how life is made, and we could apply this to other earth type planets. However, with god we can't compare it with anything. So, god is not likely, and still remains a human idea, like many other ideas we have. We know from the big bang that the universe is expanding, but what if it reverses and all the matter makes another universe, and all this happens over and over again? There's no evidence for this, like that of god. Some people want to place a creator outside the universe, some don't. There are many hypothesises on how the universe was created, but god just happened to be a popular hypothesis - thanks to some egocentric humans. What good would it do me to be open to everything, even trashy ideas?Until I've searched the entire Universe up and down and I've been able to leave this dimension and search all the other ones thoroughly, ruling out the possibility of a higher power is just claiming some sort of knowledge that really is impossible to have.
Life on other planets was an idea created by humans. But with advances in technology we've realized it's not only possible, but entirely likely.
You seem really smart and rational. So why don't you stop your irrational fear of talking to people and become a Scientist or something??
I never saw myself as smart, in fact I've always considered myself dumb. Maybe why I let people intimidate me, which led to the way I am now. Thanks for the comment though, never been called smart before. We may disagree on what's outside of the universe, but you're pretty intelligent too for not following dogma. I'd take a agnostic over a christian any day. lol
