Word of the day: Interritus: Un-terrified, unafraid, undaunted.

Playing with my 1 year old cousin, she's hilarious. It's funny watching her try to do things because she gets frustrated so easily and ends up throwing her toys around or slamming them on the ground. She's also just learning to walk but I think she's a bit lazy. She stands up a lot but when it's time to move she still crawls everywhere. Anyway, it's just fun watching her do stuff and trying to figure things out.

I find it great to be around my 1 year old cousin as well. Always brightens up my mood. :)

I realized that nothing in my basement means anything to me and I am releasing all of it to the fine people who search Kijiji for bargains. This stuff has been accumulating for 10 years and now it has to go.
I remember when I first starting working and lived in one room, I would dream about the day I would have many rooms and many floors and staircases connecting them. Then I got older and I used to gaze longingly at the pictures in Country Living magazine of houses chock full of collections of things displayed on antique tables crafted by people long dead. Then I became addicted to TV shows like Trading Spaces and Changing Rooms and knew I could turn a piece of junk into a showpiece. I used to drive down country roads early on garbage day to rescue 'treasures". I have sanded and stripped and sewed and shlepped and painted and polished.
The basement contains too many unstarted projects and completed ones plus collections of things that border on hoarderish. Now I want to see space and the floor. I listed a few things for free and within hours they were gone. I think I made 2 guys very happy today and it's been a while since I could say that. hahaha. It's a joke, people!
And that made me happy today.
Haha - you're my long, lost twin! ;)

I'm happy today because I got a massive box of yummy cookies and cakes from a friend abroad! :)

Yesterday I had an idiotic idea, to buy 2 packets of cigarette, only to try something new that might reduce my strange type of stress. So I did only smoke 2 pieces but I realized it's just not me, it didn't help me at all.

After someone gave me the idea, I went into the city today and gave the packets to a homeless fella, I asked "sorry for the perhaps hurting question, but do you live on the streets?" Since he said yes, I gave the cigs to him, I said I really don't need them, he was pleased, and I felt some joy inside of me.

I've been severely depressed lately, but it's doing slightly better today. My mum and I went out to lunch and then went to the local thrift store. I got a dress, a book and a DVD. Now I'm back home, though, and she will be going to work in about an hour. I know the depression will settle in again once I'm by myself, but at least something positive did take place today.

What really made me happy today was that I made a difference in someone's life. I was able to give encouragement, comfort and support. Also, this is our "weekend" so my husband and I enjoyed our time together. And we read from an amazing book by Kathryn Kuhlman that lifted us up spiritually.

I got some awesome new collectables. I had to go to a terribly crowded place to pick them up, but damn it was worth it.
