What are your phobias?

Fear of people.
Fear of being in a crowd.
Fear of my own race. (people laugh at this one, but I'm serious. It's not nice to be afraid, I know, but I really am afraid.)
Fear of confrontation.
Fear of being judged.
Fear of the sounds of laughing.

apart from the obv obv ones. I'm scared of failing, scared of everything new were i can't predict whats gonna happen

When I saw the title of this thread I had the same thing in my mind as you.
I'm scared of failing and from this all my other fears are derived, like social phobia, fear of driving etc ...everything new or that has a even a small risk will stress me.

Anyone else have an intense fear of buzzing insects or a fear of the feeling of an insect crawling on your skin? I nearly lost my computer screen (laptop) from dropping it due to a flying beetle that I beat to death with a boot.. I also fear anything I percive that will sting me, hence I flee when I'm outside cleaning my car and a bee or a wasp land on it or even fly near me.

Crowds. Germs. Socialising. People. Open spaces. Terminal illnesses like cancer. Death.

I have a food phobia.. I'm not scared of food exactly, but I have to prepare things in a particular way and can't eat things other people prepare for me. I also can't let food I dislike touch my skin, if it does then it triggers my cleansing rituals. I feel it on my skin for days and days afterwards. I also can't touch anyone that I see eating foods I don't like until I've forgotten about it which happens eventually.

I have a fear of accidentally speaking when I don't want to. I get really obsessive about this as I fear that I'll say something or make noises without wanting to.

I also have a fear of doing other things against my will, like throwing myself out of a car. I know that sounds weird, it isn't like I want to throw myself out of a car, but I perceive it as a danger and then suddenly I can't stop focusing on the fact I might willing open the door and throw myself out. This is probably one of the major causes of my panic attacks.

etc.

I do this too. Like if I'm on one of those ski lifts at an amusement park or something, I'll just imagine pushing the person I'm with off or pushing myself off, even though I have no intentions of doing so. Really freaky, man.

Oh gosh yes! I sometimes think of doing things to people that I'd never ever do, but I have those thoughts and then can't rid myself of them. It's weird.

When I was younger I was afraid of everything  I went down the stairs on my butt until a certain age, and I couldn't get on escalators without having a panic attack until about midway through high school. Strangely though I never had a problem with elevators.

I also just learned how to ride a bike in 11th grade. I'm not joking.

I do have a few phobias. Tornadoes, being buried alive, and megalophobia (the fear of very large objects - cue the jokes ::p:).

Ahh, I forgot to add sudden, loud noises as well. Like someone popping a balloon. Or those little popper things that explode when you throw them on the ground. I HATE those.

I'm seriously, I fear spiders more than I fear death itself.

Others include: rape taxis, strawberry cheesecake, wooden pencils.

A phobia is an irrational fear. You have an irrational fear when logically you believe it is normal not to be afraid, but your body responds in a way (whether it's adrenaline boost or laziness) that makes you unable to interact with it.

Adrenaline phobias:
1. social

Lazy phobias:
2. hard work, success, homework

Spiders and other bugs. (Being on me...I like looking at them as long as they aren't on me or are close enough to jump/fall onto me.)

Drowning / Falling to my death. (Pretty rational so it isn't really a phobia) I love flying, but I always get times where I think the floor will just fall out from under the plane and everyone will fall to their death. Luckily that thought passes pretty quick!

Things other people have touched/used. (As in, sharing a drink or eating left over food someone else has been eating. Unless it's a girlfriend that's been eating it. If I wouldn't kiss the person on the lips, then I'm not sharing their stuff.)

Besides SA and Agoraphobia, I have a list.

-Bugs
-Water
-Heights
-Anything that might cause a loud, unexpected noise (Balloons and firecrackers being my main terror)
-Getting startled. Hence why I'm terrified of loud noises.

I think that's it.

I forgot about water. I can't swim, so I'm terrified of falling into water any time I'm near it. That's one thing I wish I could do.

Cliff Diving looks so fun. (Diving in general)

To "cure" your phobia of loud noises / being startled, you could always play a lot of shooting video games. At least, that's why I attribute my lack of reactions to. After thousands of hours of explosions and gunfire going off at full blast on headphones, you get pretty used to sudden bangs :D

And flying spiders would be the death of me, ha!

There are spiders that fly. They fly way up in the sky, around the same height as planes fly. They build a sort of balloon from their web and hold on as it lifts them up into the sky.

Don't mean to scare you or anything :)

OMFG well they better never let me see them... or instant death lol

I also HATE anything scary, like I fear it, I wont go into haunted houses or watch scary movies etc... it all scares me so bad I lose sleep over it

I hate rides as well. Unless we are talking like a ferris wheel LOL

And as my current post stated, costumed people

Migraine

Made me insecure at onset.

1. vision, focus, colours, brightness and contrast become scrambled
2. sound. People's voices sound distorted, metallic, echoic
3. Tactile sensations - all skin feels unreal on every body part - lips, tongue, fingers, arms, toes, legs, scalp, ears, neck all seem to vibrate - severe (pins & needles) - whatever that phrase means; I wouldn't describe it that way. While empty-handed, I can't be sure if I feel an egg, a pen or something else there.

Within an hour or so, the throbbing pain takes over, which is a universe beyond just a headache. Either one eyeball of the other is on fire. It can be a relaxing time, because the 3 symptoms start to subside. No person can ever know what it is. I don't show any of it physically, apart from tears, and inability to concentrate.

To have been more than a year free, is being reborn. But my SA has developed due to the previous 30 years overwhelmed by migraine, with occasional cluster headaches.

I hope that no other human ever suffers this
